Your tv set nedd to be serviced. The first step is to check if the flyback transformer is working, measuring the filament voltage of the CRT. If it is OK, the problem may be in the screen grade voltage (open resistor or shorted filter poliester capacitor). If you replace this capacitor, its working voltage must be respected.

if you get no picture on anything even when you unplug the cable from the cable box/wall your crt tube is out and needs to be replaced its time for a new screen (cheaper to buy a new tv) sorry for the bad news

It might be a loose solder connection inside,try to prove it,the next time it goes blank,firmly give a whack to the back or bottom of the set,if it flashes back......sholud be a loose solder conn that a competent technician can find and repair

The problem is either dry joints on frame chip or component going thermal and failing at a certain temperature.
