Hello there

The most common causes of this problem are a defective water inlet valve or a stuck float switch. The float switch sits under the dish racks and sends a shut-off signal to the dishwasher when the water level is high enough. Make sure you only use a Maytag-compatible replacement if you have to change out your dishwasher's float switch or water inlet valve.
Difficulty: Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • Owner's manual
  • Screwdriver
  • Scrub brush
  • Replacement parts (if necessary)

  1. 1 Shut off power to the dishwasher from the home's circuit breaker box. Remove the lower rack from the inside of the dishwasher.
  2. 2 Check the water inlet valve to see if it clogged or broken. Replace the valve if you notice any problems and test the dishwasher again. If it still does not fill, proceed to Step Three to troubleshoot the float switch.
  3. 3 Consult your owner's manual to find the location of the float assembly. Remove the cover, if applicable to your dishwasher. There may be retaining screws holding the cover in place or it may just snap off.
  4. 4 Hold both sides of the float while you raise and lower it several times. The float should move freely without binding or catching on anything. Disconnect and use a scrub brush to clean the float if you feel any resistance.
  5. 5 Reattach the float and test its movement again. If it is still not moving properly, replace the float.
  6. 6 Replace the lower rack of the dishwasher and turn the breaker switch back on.

I have an lg dishwasher that showed an ie error so I fitted a new inlet valve It now shows an FE code?

The drain pump automatically runs when the FE code is displayed. A leaking water inlet valve or a stuck relay on the electronic control board can allow water to fill the dishwasher constantly. To check for a leaky water inlet valve, unplug the dishwasher and see if the tub continues to fill with water. If it does, shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve because the valve is letting water to flow into the dishwasher constantly. If water stops filling when you unplug the dishwasher, then you'll likely need to replace the electronic control board because the control board is constantly sending current to the water inlet valve

Bosch dishwasher doesn't work. water not coming

Hi Gilgol, The link below is a Bosh Dishwasher list of error codes, I believe your error code is E3....CHEERS..
http://removeandreplace.com/2015/10/09/bosch-dishwasher-error-codes-how-to-clear-what-to-check/
Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E3
Fault Condition: Not filling with water
Repair or Check: If the water supply cut-off valve on the dishwasher is completely open but the dishwasher will not fill with water then shut off the water supply and unplug the dishwasher. Remove the water fill line and check to see if the water inlet screen valve is plugged up. If so then replace the water valve. Cleaning the screen can make the issue worse so always replace if the screen is clogged. The valve can get stuck open from gunk and therefore flood or overfill.

The dishwasher does not fill up with water, but when we manully add water, it seem to run through cycle. also, the buttons seem not work properly. If I want to rest, it will not activate when pressed.

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I have an Electrolux ESI 6104x. Regularly just after starting the dishwasher as it starts to fill for the first time the water inlet cuts out. If you turn the water off at the mains disconnect the inlet...

Disconnect the fill pipe from the back of the machine and you should see a small mesh strainer in side the dishwashers inlet valve. Check that this is not dirty - to clean it pull out the strainer and rinse under the tap.

Will not fill and will not run even when filled by hand.Is it the circuit board? All fuses and switches are good.

Hi

When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you’ll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it.

If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don’t get any value on the multimeter hen you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Please post back for any further assistance.
