Hi, First ALWAYS disconnet from the mains!
To change the bulb on your Dimplex you'll firstly need to remove the log effect, there are 2 small black head pozi type screws hidden at the front one on the left and one on right which your bulbs are under situated in their holders (as there are 2 of them) they are mini screw types as opposed to the standard baynot type replace the defective bulbs with like for like once fitted reconnect the mains and try if working, JOB DONE! Page 14 on the link shows exactly how to do it Regards Steve.

On the back of the cabinet, about 3" to 4" up from the bottom, you should see a removable rectangular panel. Removing it, will give you access to the bulbs. Which are 60 watt, small base chandelier bulbs.
Turn the unit OFF & Unplug it, before removing the rear access panel.

Sounds light the 2- 60 watt small base, chandelier bulbs need changing. To access the bulbs and change them does require some dismantling of the base of the insert.

If you have a compact fireplace in a cabinet mantle, you will need to remove the front Plexiglas and frame from the front of the firebox. Remove the logs, then the 1- piece ember bed (it just lifts out). This will give you access to the light bulbs.

If you what looks like an old wood stove, you access then from the rear of the unit. Remove the bottom access panel by unscrewing the 4 screws that hold it in place. You can then reach the light bulbs to change them.

In both cases, the replacement bulbs are small base chandelier bulbs.
