20 Most Recent ACE Dimplex (r) Compact Electric Fireplace (DFP36430) Heater Questions & Answers

I have the same problem with mine the model is DRB-4047 lots of heat but the blower won,t do the job, and I found out WHY! it is the circuit board, I took the circuit board out vary easy, and i took a look at the circuit board, you will see on the board two black resistors, now look at the board it looks burnt, if you turn over the board you will see that there is NO GLUE on these two black resistors, you will need a glue gun and glue, put ALOT! of glue on the board were those two resistors are, and glue on the back of the board on the connectors, once done wait for about hour, then it should be fine, i checked mine and it works great now, all the best and good luck, by the way would you send me a email to see how you made out, Thanks pdurdle@outlook.com

It probably overheated and the overheat module shut the heater down. It may reset itself once it cools down. Or the heating element has burned out. There are a host of issues with these electric fireplaces (not just Dimplex). They are sold as a decorative, supplemental heat source, but in fact, if you get more than a years use out of it without a problem, you're probably the exception. The heaters just aren't meant to run for a long period of time. It's like turning on a blow drier and letting it run for an hour. Nine times out of ten the blower driver will overheat and burn out.

I really wish I had better news for you (I answer this type of question at least 5 to 6 times a week), but I don't.

The only good news would be, if it's still under warranty (one year), have your Proof of Purchase and contact Dimplex USA. Technical Service: 1- 888-346-7539. Customer Service: 800-668-6663

You need a new synchronous motor. This is the small motor which turns the flame effect rod. They are notorious for becoming noisy.
