I HAVE A VIZIO SOUND BAR AND VIZIO TV I AM TRING TO CONTROL THE VOLUME FROM THE SOUND BAR WITH MY DISH NETWORK REMOTE. I CANNOT FIND A CODE TO USE IN THE AUX MODE OF THE REMOTE. IS THERE A WAY TO HOOK THIS UP TO THE TV SO THAT THE TV VOLUME WILL CONTROL THE SOUND BAR VOLUME?

1.) Press and hold the clear AUX button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The Aux button should flash 3 times.

I don't show we have any codes for the Vizio sound bar. Have you checked your Visio manual for the code; I know that Vizio TVs provide codes for different providers. If you still can't find a code, I have provided instructions on how you can perform a power scan for programming the remote.

Address To Other Equipment Using Power Scan

• Remote: All Remotes (except Basic)
  1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button back lights illuminate, then release.
  2. Press and release the Power button. AUX Mode: Before pressing and releasing the Power button
     • Press 0 for a TV
     • Press 1 for a VCR/DVD
     • Press 2 for any other device
     Then Press STAR (*)
  3. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
  4. Press the POUND (#) button. Note: If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

We have a few different codes for each of our different models of remotes. You will be able to locate the model number of your remote on the back of the remote at the top usually a two to three digit number with a decimal point. I will list here for you the best codes for Vizio TVs as well as the instructions for addressing the remote to your TV. Instructions for addressing your remote to your TV.

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the TV mode button until all other mode buttons light up red.
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press the pound(#) button once. Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV.
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

We have code to use with amplifiers, TVs, VCRs, and DVD players. I do not have a code that will work on this sound bar. What is the code you are trying to use? Did Vizio supply a code with your sound bar. They do have codes to use for their TVs to program DISH remotes. Please let me know if you have a code or you can contact Vizio to see if they have a code available.

I have provided the Power Scan instructions on programming the remote to a sound bar. Use the VCR button to attempt to program the sound bar.

Power Scan Instructions Power Scan Instructions

1. While at the sound bar location, point the remote at the sound bar. Press and hold the VCR MODE button on the remote until all four MODE buttons at the top of the remote light up.

2. Press the RECEIVER POWER button on the remote.

3. Press the UP ARROW on the remote, about one press every two seconds. Stop as soon as the sound bar turns off. This process may take several minutes.

4. Press POUND (#) on the remote. The VCR MODE button will flash three times.

(VCR button instead of TV button)

5. Press VCR MODE button, then red TV button on the remote to turn on the sound bar. Press VOLUME on the remote to confirm the remote controls the sound bar. If this does not work, return to Step 1.

Remember to press the SAT MODE button to return to the Satellite mode to change channels.

To get your tv to work those particular functions, you will need to reprogram the remote to the tv, finding a code that works all functions of the tv. Some codes will work the power and volume, but not the other functions. Try these steps:

1. Hold down the TV mode button until all lights at the top of the remote are lit up
2. Press the 3 digit code in
3. Press the pound button
4. Press the SAT button on the top left of the remote.
