Has the scooter been sitting unused for a while? Will the horn honk when the scooter is connected to the charger?
If the batteries are charged and NO LIGHTS come on at all when you turn the scooter on, please check all of your connections, most importantly the fuses as your circuit may be incomplete.
If there was any power getting to the scooter at all, the lights would at least blink to let you know there was a problem.
When batteries sit for a while they will oxidize and go solid which may prevent them from getting a full charge. The charger shows them as full but it is just the current bouncing back from the solid core. Try replacing the batteries to see if that solves the problem, if not, contact the manufacturer.
Good luck!

49cc taotao can't start with electric, only kick start. electric dies when brakes applied

Sounds like your battery is dead. Sometimes they seem ok, or read good on gauge...but just a little load kills it. May also be internal short or connection problem inside battery. Either way, I'd start there.

Batteries are fully charged but the gauge is showing it needs charged and when you turn the key on it surges can you help ?

You need to check the condition of your batteries, and as for the surging, normally this is caused by a faulty throttle pot.

Why won't my mobility scooter go?

Three things you might try:
1. Make sure the charging cable is not plugged into the battery pack.
2. Make sure the transaxle is engaged. Try changing the position of the manual freewheel lever.

3. The "horn" also gives diagnostic codes. See if there is a repeating pattern to the beeps and compare them to the code chart.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months).If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. Hello

Check the following:

* Circuit breaker on main control box is tripped
* Fuse blown (check fuse in main control box assembly).
* Incorrect polarity at battery terminals
* Dead batteries.
* Charging cable is still connected to charging receptacle
* One of the cable connections at the main control box is loose.
* Control connection cable disconnected
* Broken key switch
* Throttle stuck fully open
* Throttle control potentiometer broken.
* Speed potentiometer broken
* Battery voltage too low.
* Faulty charging cable.
* Charger not working.
* Charging circuitry in main control box assembly not working

If these check OK, the problem is likely to in the control connection cable or upper control box Verify that the upper control box is getting 24V. (Blue wire on red connector.)

* If the upper control box is not getting 24V, replace control connection cable

* If the upper control box is getting 24V, check key switch operation and verify wiring in the upper control box. Trace voltage from keyswitch on to find where the problem occurs. (Replace upper control box if necessary.)

* Charge batteries with a 12V charger or replace if necessary.

* Ohm test the charging cable - replace if necessary.

* Test scooter with a different charger, if new charger works, replace charger.

* Check wiring in main control box assembly - replace in line relay if necessary
* If batteries, charger, and all wiring is good, replace controller PCB. (Note the model number for the PCB, for example 1208-2330.)

You have a dead battery. Add distilled water to the battery and then charge it up. Riding the scooter regularly will keep the battery charged, but it will not re-charge a battery once it has gone so dead that the starter will not turn over. Worst possible case, buy a new battery for about $26.

Hi. Sounds like the switch in the lock assembly is faulty. If you join together the two wires from the scooter to the lock assembly, this will be the same as turning on the key.This will let youknowif the lock was faulty or if there is another fault. If there is a connector on the wires then make up another connector that fits the one on the scooter, with a loop of wire to complete the circuit.You might be better off to buy a whole new lock assembly with the lead and connector already attached. If you are not confident working with electricity, then ask a local service technician to do it for you.Good luck. Neil.

Battery will not charge

Those batteries are probably dead, you have to charge them every so often if you are not using your scooter or chair. You also have to move it so the tires don't wear down and go flat.
