I have a Qtek 9100 smartphone and I deleted the GPRS monitor program from it and from that moment on the light doesn't come on when I try to use it. There's nothing wrong with the light because when I turn it off and turn it back on again the light is there on the first two screens (HTC and Vodafone) then, while Vodafone is on the light disappears and nothing makes it come on again! Please can someone tell me what I need to do to get it back?? Thanks.
Go to light settings and check it once is it turned on or off ...
if it turned on then there may be some loose contact with light sensor ..if reset doesnt solves the problem then try tapping phone once lightly ...
this will solve your problem
Try to keep back the the phone to the default level by reseting it with the button provided on its side
Use the stylus to lightly press and hold the RESET button on
the left side of your device. The device restarts and displays the
Today screen.
Warning! Always turn off your device before performing a soft reset or
installing/replacing the battery and SIM card.
To perform a hard reset
1. Press and hold the Comm Manager button and Voice Command
button on the device. At the same time, use the stylus to lightly
press the RESET button.
2. Keep the Comm Manager button and Voice Command button
pressed, and the following message will appear on the screen:
The light wont come on! - 5b938d8.jpgg src="/uploads/images/5b938d8.jpg" alt="5b938d8.jpg" class="h_mi" />
3. Release the two buttons, and press the Send button to perform The light wont come on! - 8dc4949.jpg reset.
Could be that deleting the GPRS program may have muddled up the firmware..If a factory reset doesnt do the trick, you may have to reinstall the firmware again through the manufacturer's website.
Remove the battery for sometime and try it again to start the phone
try to reset it to the factory setting.
if still unable to start it properly you need firmware update.
Have you tried resetting the unit yet?
Thanks,
Lee
Have you tried resetting the unit??
Here is the process for hard reset,
press Comm button + voice button (the 2 top side buttons) + soft reset, then hold the D-Pad up for about 10 seconds...
Bootloader mode is
Camera button + voice button + soft reset.
Hope that helps........
Yes try to reset the button follow the steps that I provided you..
Just inform me if it work.....
Soft Reset
A soft reset tells to your device to stop what it is doing and to restart.
All records and programs stored in device will be retained after a soft reset.
After resetting, the usual start screen will appear.
Use a soft reset when your device seems to have crashed or hanged.
This type of reset is the first to try, before any others, to solve the above problems.
This kind of reset is, usually, well known by the user and really easy to perform.
Hard Reset (or Full Reset)
Performing a hard reset, all settings, records and programs stored in the Pda
(except the ones stored in Rom) will be erased.
After a Hard Reset formats, preferences, and other settings will be restored
to the factory default settings.
You can restore any previous data if you got a Backup of your device before
the hard reset otherwise you will need to reinstall any third-party applications.
If you are hard resetting your device owing to some hard problem i suggest
to restores installed applications without using the backup if you are not sure
that backup data do not include the problem you wish to solve also. In few words a hard reset allows you to start everything over from scratch.
The reset instruuction are already posted.......

I don't want the GPRS Moitor program back - just the light - I can't see anything :))
No I haven't reset the unit yet - I don't know how to do that. I have reinstalled all the activeSync software and got it to sync again (that was the other problem - now sorted) but I don't know how to reset it. Any ideas? Will I lose the data on it? Can I then set it to pick up all the data from the computer again?
Thanks for your help. I went to reset it and before I did I went through all the programs and the backlight program was right over to the left - I adjusted that and all is well I have the light back on!! I don't know why deleting the GPRS monitor would do that - but I don't care - it works and I am very happy! thanks to all for their help. :)
