Avaya IPO 406 v2. 4622SW IP phones. Ocasionally, the IP phones will get into a mode where they stutter. The stuttering affects the voice communication by interrupting the voice stream every second or so. The audio stream actually stops for a fraction of a second. It makes it very difficult to communicate. Re-booting the IPO clkears the problem, but is hard to do when the system is busy. Any ideas? Thanks.

Various potential network problems might be causing the problem. Access the Network Audio Quality screen. In the event you experience poor audio quality during a call, the problem is likely with your network. This screen provides information that can help identify causes of poor audio quality. Note: Note: The Network Audio Quality button displays only when you are on a call (off-hook). 1. Select Network Audio Quality from the Options Main screen (accessed by pressing the phone's Option button). If administered, the Audio Status screen displays. 2. To return to the first Options Main screen, press the Return softkey.

What does it mean if "message', 'Avaya', and 'A' lights are all blinking, and 'B' stays lit?

The solid light on B could be that the handset is offhook.

When a call rings in, the message light can be set to flash as well as the light will flash next to the a (or b ) button that the call is ringing in on.

Phone goes straight to answer

Is there a "Do not disturb " button on? Or maybe a "Send All Calls". If there is, you will get a stutter dial tone when you go off hook.

Does this happen for both outgoing calls and incoming calls?

Calls automatically go to voice mail

When you pick up the handset ...do you hear a stutter dial tone? Forwarding or DND might be on.
