Sounds like you have a blown seal on your left gearbox. The only permanent solution is to replace the left brake/motor gearbox assembly. Not exactly a do-it-yourself repair. to verify, you can pull the seat off to inspect with a flashlight or tip the chair up at 45 degrees on the right drive wheel to inspect.
In my experience this is a common problem. It may take some time for enough gearbox grease to ooze out and cause the gearbox to fail. If you run the chair inside the house it will get messy very quickly and the grease stains are difficult to remove. If the chair is upwards of 4 or 5 years consider replacing left and right motor/gearbox assemblies. Hope this helps.

Have a Invacare Pronto m51 Sure step. Trying to change batteries and the seat seems to be stuck

Turn chair on its side. get spray pb blaster on it. set chair upright and wiggle seat back and forth to loosen. It takes work but after it is apart use grease on mating parts so they do not stick together anymore.

Pronto M51. Why is it leaking oil?

hi James ,this is a power-chair right ? if so then the oil must be coming from one of the gearboxes, if possible run your finger inside the wheel where the axle goes into the gearbox ?

I have an Invacare M71 Pronto and the I am having a hard time with the on off button on the joystick control. I had it cleaned and the two gold covered pads directly under the on seem to be dark. Where...

No need to replace the circuit board just take a pencil eraser and rub the gold contacts to clean them making sure that you clean the residue after cleaning. the faceplate buttons have a metallic coating under the button and over time will wear off. You can glue a small piece of foil to the bottom off the buttons and the switches will work fine Since you have already purchased a new faceplate you can install it or you can glue foil to the bottom of the on/off button of the old faceplate and keep the new for later if you need it. Hope this helps you

anne no It means you need new batteries. If Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay for 80% of the repair costs. Contact Repair Express @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-80467-2668 and they will send a tech out to check it for you and bill Medicare Hope this helps

goto invacare.com when the home page comes up on the left side of the page you will see product catalog under that select Wheelchairs and top end. Next screen select Power Wheelchairs. Next screen select Pronto Series. Next screen select non-powered seating. Next screen select Pronto M51 with Sure Step. That is the last screen on the left side you will see owners manual select that and you can print it out with Adobe. Good Luck Hope this helps

One red light three green flash when turned on

Your chair has a motor problem. The code does not tell which side it is. Make sure both motors have the brakes in the drive position before turning on the chair. Also check that both motors are plugged into the main control module in the base of the chair.
