I have a 55" LG TV model#55LD520-UA when I turn it on the red stand by light blinks twice and the LG logo and clock flash for maybe 2or, 3 seconds then the screen goes black

Hi there. I would advise you to unplug your tv from the wall. Wait approximately 5 minutes. Hold down the power button on the tv for 15 seconds without the tv plugged in. This is what they call power cycling. If plugging back in the tv does not work; you might have a power board issue. A typical power board/circuit board repair runs from $25 to $125.

Take the screen off connect power and watch LEDs if any don't flash its LEDs only needed to change faulty strip if they all flash its probably t con boards.

Try to change the capacitors first. Normally lost of lcd tv have problems with the capacitors and which lead to powers problems. May you will not find visually that the capacitor is fault. So go for changing the capacitor also check the following video. Which will help you understand how to check the power supply broad. Also take care while working with the power board there is a risk or electric shock Also one of the capacitor in the power supply holds charge even when you have remove the power supply.

that is usually a t-con board or video card. ebayers usually have those parts reasonable.

that's how I fixed one of mine.

it could be the power board which is the costlier part.

Screen lights up and then goes black

sounds like a coil break down under heat. It is a common fault. You will need to get it fixed at your local dealer or a repair shop.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Lg 26lg30 light blinks red blue wont turn on. When unpluged light flashes blue for a minute then turns off

you have a bad cap in the power supply
these are can shaped device thet if bad will vent anf put up on the top the valoue is wrtten on the side trplace them and you should be good to go

I have a LG26LX1D and have similar problem. The red light blinks. I checked the PSU and also the fuses. I can see power in the main board.

There is a short blink, a small pause a long blink and a long pause.

Any ideas what is wrong here...
