JVC GZ-MG26 hi when i connect the camcorder to my pc it finds the device and install it but when i load any software to view and edit it says its not connected however my i connect to my friends mac using its own software it works a treat are there any drivers i need to install first i have tried it an a friends pc using pinacle studio 11 whch he uses for his camcorder and still not connected comes up

    I connect my JVC gz-mg26 to my PC running Vista Ultimate and the camera displays "usb mass storage"indicating it is connected to the PC, but the PC does not recognise the camera in "my computer".

    I have searched for a few hours to find a suitable driver for this, but have had no luck so far - not even on the JVC website. This is not good enough..

    If anyone can help, please reply.

I had the same problem. Just install nero (7), create a dvd-video and import the files via nero to a folder.
It worked for me.

GZ-MG30U JVC camcorder software need
You do not need any software to download the data from your camera. You can view your video files through Windows media player. The camer comes with Cyberlink Power director to view and edit the pictures if you want to make your own movies, but just about any editing software will do.

Everio gz-mg130 won't work with vista
It is easier to connect your camcorder through the included "PowerCinema NE for Everio". First (since you're running Vista), you have to download a patch. Here is the address: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Note: Only after you have installed PowerCinema NE for Everio can you install the patch. After you have installed the patch, just connect your MG130 to your computer through the included USB cable. Then the software should run automatically.
