HP Photosmart 8250 Ink System Failure,error code Oxc18a0007. I've tried HP site for solutions with no success. Also tried re-installing software,replacing ink (all genuine HP) but no luck!

This is Ink System Failure Error.

You need to remove the Printhead and Cartridges and clean the golden contacts ( electrical contacts ) and clean them with lint free cloth.

If this does not fix the issue, You need to replace the Printhead/Cartridges

The "Ink System Failure" error is causes by air in the ink feed tubes. One of your old cartridges either run all of the way out or one of the new ones are defective. We have a step by step guide purging the air from the feed tubes posted on our web site. Go to our site at: www.ccl-la.com , click on the printer repair link and then the HP link. Follow the steps and you should be back printing in no time at all.

Try changing the ink cartridges.

If you installed the "HP Support Toolkit" software from the CD-ROM that came with the printer, use this Toolkit to "run a cleaning cycle".
It can print a "test" page, to show you which colours _do_ work, and which do _not_ work.

If all else fails, then find a qualified printer technician.

1. Turn the printer off for few minutes then turn it back on
2. Clean ink cartridge
3. Update drivers
4. If nothing works, repace the battery

hi I guess you are also getting error "Ink system Failue"
Try this:

Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turn the 3310 off. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and the turn it back on. You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate. Make sure you have new cartiges in the printer so that it can reset.
If, this does'nt
& if your printer is in warrenty Call 1-800-474-6836 and tell them about the error code and they will replace it in first go

Solution
Press the On button to turn the printer off. 
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Remove all the ink cartridges.
Wait two minutes.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on. 
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.
If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.
