Disk error in alpine pkg rse2

First I was getting a white screen and then frozen frames, so I used a dvd player laser cleaner, which worked for a while. Now the screen shows "Disk Error' after trying to read for a few seconds. Btw, the player is a Alpine PKG RSE 2 and is only 5 months old and was rofessionally installed.

I FEEL FOR YOU IS IT POSSIBLY THE LENS ON THE DVD PLAYER UNIT ITSELF?? MABY IT HAS SOME DIRT ON IT OR THE LAZOR IS VERY FUSSY ABOUT THE DISCS IT READS

Pkg-rse2 screen is dim and can't see it

LCD is not affected by cold. This sounds like it is the backlight or the inverter that runs the back light. The back light causes the lcd to be able to be seen.

I have an Alpine car DVD player and it plays the move, we can hear it we just can't see the move. How do we fix it without having to get a new dvd player?

That unit does not have speakers you need IR head phones, or hook it up to your stereo via the FM Modulator.

I have an alpine dvd player pkg rse2 after sending to get fixed for an ejecting problem the hole inside had to be replaced.Ireinstalled it and got the region code error,simple enough went to the region...

I have plugged my PSP into the Game Port using a composite cable. I receive sound, however there is no picture on the AV2.

It is 1 of three things. The video output on the psp is bad the input on the alpine is bad or the cable itself is bad. Try plugging the psp into your tv at home. That will tell you if it is the unit or cable. if it works in your house its your alpine video unit

Require copy of the installation instructions so as to remove unit from vehicle -- unit came with vehicle: have no knowledge who installed this unit

If there are any visible screws from the outside of the unit, or from the inside of the unit when the screen is folded down, be sure to remove them first.
The unit should snap off from the sides, be careful not to break the clips.
Disconnect the wires from the unit, and continue to remove the base plate attached to the ceiling of the vehicle.

Screen goes off when ignition turned on

Dis-connect the handbrake connection wire.
But it's illegal to drive while watching a screen, so don't do it. Not to mention dangerous, stupid and suicidal.

How do you get the sound to play from headphones only and listen to radio while dvd is playing?

Just press FM button. Blue Light turn off, and you can listen radio without interference. Gustavo (Alpine Buenos Aires)
