I pushed record on my JVC GZ-MG130 video camera, could see the picture fine while recording, but now when I go to play it back there is no video. Is there something I can do?

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Do i need a memory card to record..

No you do not need a memory card to record. The JVC Everio GZ-MG130 is a hard disk drive camcorder with a built-in 30 gigabyte hard drive to record to. You can, however, use an SD memory card if you want to add additional space to save your videos and pictures to.

How do I view video on my pc as I am recording

example: NeroVision Express has this ability. Simply power on your camera in RECORD mode, set Nero to capture video and use either the camera's recording facility or Nero's (probably better in a studio-type setting as you can use a decent soundcard to connect a boom).

HOW DO I DELETE RECORDS FROM JVC -D740EK VIDEO CAMERA?

Since the JVC GR-D740EK is a european miniDV camcorder with no embedded memory nor memory card slot, I would assume that your talking about erasing or recording over your miniDV tapes. You can simply do so by sliding the the erase protection tab on your miniDV tape towards "record" and you can begin to record you movies. Prerecorded tapes cannot be deleted and used as "new" or bare (having no recording on it).
