Perform a hard drive test on the "pen drive" if it fails, then the Kingston 32GB pen drive is toast - due to a flash memory problem.
Windows 7, Vista and WinXP include a DOS program "scandisk" which will exercise a drive and
attempt to fix problems - the computer thinks your Kingston pen drive is a USB Hard Drive, so
testing the flash drive memory involves exercising it as if it were a disk drive.
How to:
Direct this program to scan your pen drive - for example, if your flash drive is mounted as drive "E:", then enter
My Computer>(select pen drive from list)>Properties>Tools> Scan Now
In the mean time, get as much off the drive as you can before it quits completely.
