Unable to boot up my O2 Xda Atom

Hi,

the O2 Atom (not exec) hang on me when it was on a call.
I did the standard routine by taking out the battery and put it back after several minutes. But this time, it failed to boot up (not even see the O2 screen) .

Based on the online search, i had done the following,
- Tried soft and hard reset, with SIM card, without SIM card.
- Took out the SD card
- Tried to recharge the battery.
- Take out the battery for a day and retry.
Tried different permutation but still failed to revive it.

Few observations,
- I had saw both the LEDs blinks when i tried the reset.
- The power LED was red, when i connect it to my PC via USB.
- My PC unable to detect my O2
- I am still able to access to the MN1 Bootloader.

Any suggestion?
Or my O2 Atom can rest in peace forever?

    The memory card... are you referring to the SD card?

    If not, please advise me what is the memory card you are refering to.



    By the way, how to reinstall the software when the O2 is not bootable.



    Lastly, is the software you are refering the ROM? or the other application i had installed previously?

    I face another challenge. I am no longer able to download O2 released ROM from their website.



    Been searching around for the past few days, still unable to find.

    Does anyone know where i can download it?

    i am suffering the same problem the first day i bought this phone and even did upgrading to the ROM but still not booting
    again also i want to know how to update or install new window mobile while the mobile didnt boot

    my phone went off when i was on the call and after that my phone is not starting. it just shows the o2 welcome screen and then hangs along.

    i rremoved the battery for some time and tried again but still it was the same even direct power without battery could not start the system.

    but way i very scared my atom gonna dead...

    I have the same problem with my O2 XDA atom but I can't update the ROM because the activesync is not active when I go to the bootloader MN2 to upgrade ROM it will fail (Error: Connection error) and on the Atom screen show please use DSUU in OS mode and sync with pc first usb transfer fail! 

    any help plz

Dear cafei,

Go to boot loader on your O2 XDA atom by removing batt+pressing camera button+plugging in the batt back WHILE still press holding the cam button the ue the stylus to press soft reset button, then connect to your pc via usb, then run the update program (most refer to it as DSUU, u can download one from seeo2.com) just wait for the progress to complete and you're done.

if in case you get stuck at 6%, unplug usb cable, remove battery, then insert battery while press holding the power button, while still holding the power button, press the reset button with the stylus, it should show the o2 splash, wait for any progress. then re-run the DSUU again to perform full flash.

please take note that i did not suggest any 3-party rom, it is best if you try the O2-released ROM (or DSUU).

Your mini caught a bug take out memmory card and do a wipe on it format it then install back in smartphone hook up to comp and reinstall software
these smartphone by far are little comps and still subsetible to bugs becarefull what your downling and turn on your certifacate reader for programs this will give your smartphone a little better defense
also you smartphone should just work without the memmory card and things should come back to normal

Bapak pake operator apa? Biasanya tiap operator memakai kebiasaan buruk sendiri2 ( membuat set up yang berbeda beda satu dgn lainnya). Di Indonesia sebaiknya bapak ke kantor cabang operator saja, suruh dia setting dan bapak tinggal nunggu saja. Biasanya akan butuh penyettingan user name, password( kadang ini gak ada), Proxy dsb. Utk + perbendaharaan bapak bisa lihat links dibawah ini:

My Phone does not switch on.
Perform a hard-reset.

At the expense of your data-loss,
atleast you get your device working back.


To perform a hard-reset on your O2 Xda Atom,
Keep pressed the POWER key, and then perform soft reset. After the device this leave everything and confirm that you want to hard-reset as shown on the screen.

I think the problem is your battery... and you think that your battery is OK then you can try charging it the computer through USB.
