Answer me this. You're case is an Antec tower? The motherboard is the Asus P4P800 SE ? Is this correct?
If you have you're manual you can see what goes where on the board for front panel connector page. 2-31. (This diagram shows you how to connect the front mic & speaker).
To connect the Antec's front USB ports plug the case USB front connectors onto USB56 & USB78 shown on page. 2-30. Most case wires are already set within their USB connectors & the Antec's front USB connector should fit right on the mother board's pin's. If you need you're user manual, download from Asus by clicking on this link. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4P800%20SE&SLanguage=en-us

Good Luck!
Mike

Is there a "line in" on MTC2?

There is a line in port on the audio of this computer. Turn the system around and look at the rear of the tower or get a flashlight and look at the back. The line in port is the 3.5 mm audio port with a light blue ring around the port. You will have to go into the control panel to use the line in after connecting the device. The default setting is for the microphone jack to be the active audio input. Open the Control Panel. Go to Devices and Hardware (or Hardware and Sound). Look for the Audio section and Manage Audio Devices. Click on the Recording tab. Set the Line In as the default. Note: you may need additional hardware, like a pre-amplifier, to get this to work. I've done it with a cassette player using the headphone jack which didn't need any extra hardware.

MCT2 doesn't specify any Dell desktop model. This term indicates the size of the desktop tower (mid-size tower). That differentiates it from the mini desktops and the full-size towers. You may have a Dell Dimension 2400 or a different model.

Accessing the Control Panel involves clicking the Start button for Windows XP, Vista and 7. For Windows 8, 8.1, and 10, pressing the Windows key + X is a faster route. (There are other options. For Windows 10, right click on the Start button.)

I hope this helps.

My speaker jack broke off inside my audio input in the back of the computer. I want to use the thermaltake case's front usb and audio out/mic in jacks, but they don't seem to get power or work. My drivers...

> Have you removed the broken jack from the rear end of the pc ?
> Are you trying to use the audio ports on the front panel ?
> if you are trying to use the audio port on the front panel you will first need to remove the piece of the broken jack stuck in the rear port - cos you can take an audio out line either from the front OR the rear any one

How to i connect my bose companion 2speakers to my computer and get sound

hi, first Identify what computer you have. Is It A Mac or PC?

If it is PC
-------------
There should be 2 small 3.5mm coloured sockets on the back, front (or both ) of the main box (tower/desktop unit). You should find that they are coloured Green and Red. Green is for sound output (Headphones/speakers or hifi) and the Red is for sound input or Recording. Used for things like microphones. Some will accept line sources such as mixers and Ipods pr cassette players, but please check your sound manager, mixer settings in your opperating system to make your you have an adjustable input setting for Mic and Line input attenuation as not all do and you may end up with a distorted mess. You may also find there is a small diagram of headphones or a microphone to indicate sound "in" and "out" ports.

If you have a mac
-------------------------

Appart fom me being envious :-) there are two sockets. On laptop types, on the side or on the tower types on the front, back or both. They have a diagram of a microphone and headphones. Hadphones is for audio output to headphones, speakers, hifi, dj mixer. The Microphone is a sound input. Please read above for microphone port usage. Hopefully this answers your question. Please also bear in mind that if you have no sound once plugged in, you may need to adjust the audio properties in the system in the system and/or program you may be using

Where does the Microphone plug in to the Dell Vostro200

Depending on the chassis-style of your Vostro 200 (Slim-line or Tower), you may have one or more options for installing a microphone.
See below for instructions:
A. Slim-Line Model
There are two locations on this model (by default).
dd21be3.jpg
Front: You have the power button, then 2 x USB ports, 1 x Headphone jack-out, and 1 x Microphone jack-in.

Rear: There is a block of six audio connectors, looking only at the bottom 3 (red, green & blue).
Red = Microphone jack-in Green = Speaker/Audio jack-out Blue = Audio jack-in

B. Tower Model
There is one location on this model (by default):

Rear: There is a block of six audio connectors, looking only at the bottom 3 (red, green & blue).
Red = Microphone jack-in Green = Speaker/Audio jack-out Blue = Audio jack-in

Where can i find front usb ports with the 2 headphone jacks

well it all depends on the tower and motherboard. Typically not located on the motherboard itself, it is usually plugged into a port on the motherboard port and extends to the top of the tower or front of it. "Front panel USB Ports"

Front headphone and microphone jack don't work.

Based on what you've submitted, I'm listing a number of solutions which may or may not help. Try the following:

1.) Double-check the color coding on the jack to the port and ensure they match.

2.) Go to Start Menu>>Control Panel>>Sounds and Audio Devices. If it says you have "No Audio Device", then we have a problem.

If it says you have an audio device, tinker with the tabs and settings until your sound output is good.

Please let me know if this helps. If you need further troubleshooting, feel free to ask me directly! Take care.
