None of the games work on my wii it says unable to read disk refer to wii operations manual for troubleshooting. that is the only channel that doesnt. yall help me out please. thx o and i just upgraded the wii this might be a stupid question but is it possible to update the disk channel

Your disk may be scratched or dirty, make sure it is inserted the correct way. try inserting another wii game and see if it can read that.

You can try to clean your disk using this guide, but if its scratched then it wont help.

You could try a 3rd party slot cleaner, or use the tried-and-true retro Nintendo console method of blowing into it.

How scratched is the disk? If it's really beat up, that might be the problem right there.

I had a similar problem before, and neither of my methods worked. I had to get it fixed by Nintendo themselves. Hopefully you don't have the worst-case scenario!

1. you could trade the game in to get a new one.
2. you can ask game gamestation hmv etc. to clesn it.

Check if the disk is scratched and if is a new game, make sure is the same region as your wii unless you want to softmodded to unlock region.

you must of put the disk in the wrong way

Call nintendo, if there is something in the USB port in the back of the system then take it out, it could cause freezing with out disc. If all of your disc are not playing ( Unable to read disc please refer to the wii operation manual ) its a problem with the disc drive in the system, set up a repair.

it might be the game, not the wii

If you are not in the US, Canada, or Mexico, the game shouldn't work on your system.
