If you've tested the cable and your not getting a link light, there is a posibility that either the port in the switch or the network card is bad.You can try moving the cable to an existing working port on the switch to see if it links up. If not then try another device like a laptop or printer with a NIC card on the cable
i tried that. the hub and net card are working. when i use other cable it is working. only with belden cable. any more ideas? thanks..
What standard are you using to test the cable(568A, 568B)?

Just so i've got it straight, the cable was termed in B standard tested good, and theres no link light. I'd re-test the connections to see if there's a partial connection on one of the crimp ends.

i tried everything.. no link..
When your saying link are you talking about a link light or access to your network? also, whats the footage on the wire you ran?
link= no connection/ no light
laptop/pc to hub
laptop/pc to modem
but ok with LAN tester..
