Humidity I have a split system that was installed to help control the humidity in my partially below grade piano studio.  I have had the service people come out on numerous occasions because there is no humidity being pulled from the air.  In fact, the air conditioner makes it far worse.  I have to run two dehumidifiers to bring down the humidity and then have to turn on the a/c because of the heat they produce.  Not a drop of moisture is flowing from the outside tube.  (It did pull humidity to some extent the first year, but not since) The company who installed the unit says that is how it is supposed to work.  Can anyone solve this problem?  I won't install in the rest of my house as I don't need to aggravation.  Diane Cooke

I have an LG 18000btu split type wall mounted airconditioner. The problem is that suddenly it stopped dehumidifying. For the first 8 months it would drop humidity steadily to below 25-30% and a lot of water (several lt) would flow from the external drain daily. This happened with internal temperature ranging from +17C to +29C in heat/cool/dehumidify settings. Now with internal temperature between +19 and +24 it does nothing and not a single drop flows from the drain. Humidity is stuck at 75-85% and the ac has no effect no matter what the settings. LG and certified technician (after 2 visits) claim the AC is working as supposed and that if I want dehumidifying I should buy a separate appliance (!). The covered area (ac centrally located) is between 20 and 100 sq meters, and it does not make any difference whether I try to operate it in small or large room area. Any suggestions?

Square footage of the studio should give the size of the air conditioner necessary to remove the moisture from the air. In order to remove the moisture the unit a/c has to operate with the coil temperature below the dew point of the air. If the air conditioner is to large for the job it will not run in the cooling mode long enough to remove moisture.

I have a casio privia px-130, and I'm trying to use it as a MIDI on FL Studio, but it won't show up in FL Studio. Is there a driver that I have to download?

Make sure you follow the steps of the procedure below exactly. Connecting incorrectly can make data
send and receive impossible.
1.
Turn off the digital piano and then start up
your computer.
• Do not start up the music software on your computer
yet

3.
Turn on the digital piano.
• If this is the first time yo
u are connecting the digital
piano to your computer, the driver software required
to send and receive data will be installed on your
computer automatically.
4.
Start up your computer's music software.
5.
Configure the music software settings to
select one of the following as the MIDI device.
CASIO USB-MIDI

The keys in the middle range of my Yamaha electronic piano P-200 seem to be stuck and are very difficult to play - takes a lot of strength to get any sound. Could humidity be a problem? Could piano...

Although the keys have a weighted feel, this is not because of a system involving connection t hammers as in an acoustic piano. This is done mechanically, however, which would indicate a need for cleaning. If you have an authorized Yamaha service center in you area they would need to do the cleaning.

I'm in the studio using LogicPro with my MO8 -

In General MIDI, the grand piano is defaulted to MIDI channel 1.

IF you have a device that responds to "General MIDI" format, just send the MIDI data to channel one and you should be fine. Remember that pianos are VELOCITY controlled and usually don't use after touch so you have to generate appropriate velocity for EACH note if you are using an editor.

Yamaha P-120 Piano: Graded Hammer (NOT key) dysfunction?

My opinion is you should take the instrument to a yamaha authorized service center.. It's doubtful this will be user serviceable, particularly if the problem isn't on all the keys, and the service center will have access to the parts needed as well as more information from Yamaha than they will share with an end user.

Hhow to save a pattern in fl studio and reuse the same in another

Open up the piano roll window for the sample you have selected. Use the highlight tool, which looks of a dashed square, to select the entire pattern by dragging your cursor from the top right corner of the piano roll diagonally to the left bottom corner of the piano roll. If you can't see all of the bars used, then try sizing the track in the piano roll closer together by placing your cursor on the square directly to the right of the horizontol scroll bar. Hold down the left click and move your mouse down to track the piano roll closer or move the mouse upwards to span it more. Select all of the bars used in the piano roll and click the down arrow in the very upright corner. Select Edit > Copy. This will copy all of the bars in the current piano roll. To paste the pattern simply click the down arrow again in the upright corner and select Edit > Paste in any piano roll.
