My scale w-L396 reads 0-ld how can i fix it? - RTO Weighmax W-L396 Body Fat Scale

O-ld is 'overload'. There are some fixes here. The first thing I would do is remove the battery and leave it overnight. Replace the batteries with new ones. If you think it may be possible that you are overloading the scale, put a bag of sugar or flour on them to test.

Hi Douglas 0-LD means your digiweigh scales are in pounds, 0 means no weight and LD means pounds..... The link below shows how to convert LD to KGS (pounds to kilos)

Douglas, it means usually means over loaded, it is an error message.

Your question does not show what kind of scale you have on my computer. I would Google and get the instructions. Main thing is to check that it reads 0 with nothing on it. If you have a known weight, of 50 lbs or more, put it on the scale to see what it reads.

Take a ten pound bag of sugar and calibrate the scale to read 10 pounds.

Did you remove the transport protection?
Perhaps you should remove the battery and reinsert it again?

Try to reset the unit. Use the following steps
- Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale. Push the tab on the door and lift the cover.
- Remove the battery from the compartment. Close the battery compartment door.
- Sit the scale right side up on a hard surface floor.
- Step on the scale and stand still on it for five to ten seconds. Step off the scale.
- Turn the scale over and open the battery compartment. Re-insert the battery. Close the battery compartment cover.
- Place the scale right side up on the hard surface floor.
- Press one foot on the scale until the display shows zeroes or dashes. Remove your foot.
- Wait for the scale to shut off by itself. When you step back onto the scale, it will be reset.

It is not OUT2, but rather OUE2, which means your chefmate needs to re calibrate. To do that you will need the following:

a 2000 grams weight or 4.4 lbs, I used a 3lbs protein jug unopenened and a 600 grams glutamine bottle unopened.

Ok so turn your scale off then:

1) press the ON button and leave it press while simultaneously pressing once the TARE button (though it may need more than one or maybe leaving it press for a few secs thought try just hitting it once first), release the TARE and you should see a CAL on the screen (top left), release the ON and it will read:

2) the number 00000 on the first line will appear, click TARE

-this calibrates no weight first-

3) then it will read you another weight mine read 2000 grams, put that weight on top of the scale (NOTE every scale uses a different weight to calibrate i am giving you mine) once you put it there hit tare and it should read PASS

4) Remove the weight and it should read "0", mine read first 1 grm so i had to re do it again until i got 0.

5) You can try weighting different unopened things that you know the weight of, but if not just turn it OFF then back ON and it should read "0"

Congratulations your scale is now calibrated and ready to use again!!!!


NOTES: i have the electric scale if the on tare button does not works for you it may need a different combination to calibrate.

The sensor has been worn out or has been pushed past it's weight limit. When you get on it, it pushed the sensor past the point of working... When she gets on it, no problemo...
