Where can I get my 31004 charger repaired

Hello, I want to say that in some cities, Interstate Battery company even disassembles battery packs for rechargeable batteries. I know they solder the internal components and have the talent to overhaul a charger. Its just that not all locations have the same setups. You can probably do a Web-search for the charger using the full description first, as you listed this request here with a good description. You could add the term "Repair" to your search.Go to your phone book locally and just think about replacing the old charger with a new one. It is faster and you probably really need it quick. Then send the old unit out for repair and keep it as a spare. In my local Detroit, Michigan area, a company called Benson's does a lot of Mobility sales, so they could help.Really wish I could say more, my mom had to use a battery rider too, so I really understand your needs.

Try Monsterscooterparts.com. make sure you go to the mobility medical dept. as they carry stuff for ATV's, and the scooters that kids ride on, pretty much anything that comes out of China electronically they will have the wiring harness you need. You may have to buy new batteries if it has not been kept up with charging.

My mobility scooter batteries are put on charge

hi, now that could be one of three problems,

1. first check the charger ,is it possible to try the charger on another scooter ?
2. The batteries will no longer accept a charge ,this creates a fault condition with the charger. (try these batteries on another scooter if possible).
3. the actual charger plug in, you need to check the pins here , just the outside ones with a electrical meter, no voltage implies a bad connection to the batteries.

I have a chair that is two years old and has never

Hi. When you charged it up, did the battery indicator lights on the control panel light up?
If you take the batteries to a battery shop, they can some times get the batteries to take a charge.
I have had a few batteries that have been sitting for a long time, what I do is charge them seperately for a few seconds on 24 volts. A quick charge of 24 volts across a 12 volt battery will sometimes break down the sulphate that builds up on the internal plates of the battery. Once you have done this. charge the battery properly, and then discharge it, ( you can use a light bulb ).
Charge and discharge the batteries 5 or 6 times over the next few days. This will hopefully let the batteries take enough charge to let someone try out the machine. The batteries will not be as good as new ones, but if you are donating the machine, they could buy their own batteries.
Make sure that when you are working with batteries, you use good safety rules, batteries are dangerous, and will give of hydrogen gas, which can explode. If in doubt about your abilities, get the battery shop to charge them for you.
Good luck. Neil.

Fuse bl;ows when turned on

Hi. Is it the line fuse or the output fuse that blows? Does it blow if it is not connected to the machine.
It is probably best in the long run if you purchase a new charger for your machine. Some older chargers are simple regulation circuits, and most of the newer ones operate on a high frequency switching power supply mode, and have complex circuitry.
If you can get your old charger fixed by an electronics serviceman, it would be a good idea to test it by recording a battery charge with a data logger, to make sure it is charging at the correct voltage levels.
Buying a new charger might mean that you will save destroying a set of batteries as well.
We have here testers for batteries and chargers where the data logger does a voltage test every 10 seconds. We can record a charger for 4 days, and download it to a PC. We have found a few chargers that overcharge. This will eventually destroy the batteries.
Good luck. Neil.
