Hi MzM1990,

You can find lots of useful product information about your Insignia MP3 player on the manufacturer's website located at: http://www.insignia-products.com.

(The actual product page for your MP3 player is located at http://www.insignia-products.com/pc-289-22-insignia-pilot-8gb-video-mp3-player-with-bluetooth-technology.aspx)

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

Best regards.
Ken

Bluetooth compatibility with hearing aids

It appears that the Pilot is incompatable with Phonak so there is no fix. It would be a waste of money to subscribe to a trouble line, and it is insulting to be asked. We have already wasted money on the MP3 player. I am sorry the store clerk was not knowledgeable enough to tell us this before we bought the unit. It still works with our stereo, but does not fill the intended purpose.

BlueTooth/ Insignia Mp3 Player

If you access the settings menu on the player, you'll see the bluetooth settings. You'll need to turn on the bluetooth radio. Then on your bluetooth device you'll need to activate the "pairing" sequence. With both devices set to "pairing", look back on the player and check to see if it found the receiver in the bluetooth settings. You'll probably be asked to input a passkey. If the device doesn't require a passkey, then just accept and start playing music.

If you need more specific instructions, let me know and also include what device you are trying to pair with. I'll walk you through it.
