Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 09, 2010

Red & Green stuck together, Green is full wide. - accidentally posted this in Flat Panels and can't change it.--- I'm working on a Mitsubishi WS-55819, (correct model # this time) that replaced the convergence ICs (801, 802, original Sanyo chips, not knockoffs) and the Pica fuses for the infamous dead set, code 2.2. When I when I went to converge the set the Red AND Green move in the same direction and the Green appears to be running full on wide. I can adjust the Red and GREEN width from the Service Menu (good thing), but same symptom of Red following Green (bad thing). Center RGB convergence is very close even at factory defaults. Before 1st power up I checked the 3.9 ohm resistors visually and out of circuit, cleaned the flux, and triple checked for colds & bridges. I'm primarily an audio and industrial electronics tech (35 years) and hate hate HATE working on TVs! I have the complete service manuals and haven't done any voltage checks on the ICs because they are just such a joy get to and and most of my jumpers are for specific audio products. I only agreed to do THIS one because... it's the wife's. Any help greatly appreciated as new[er] TV is completely out of the question for us. {What? You mean I'm NOT alone??}

Between the fuses, resistors, and the IC packs I think you've done well. Your going to have to recheck your soldering on those lands at the IC's pins, or replace the defective (new) packs.

Thanks dburns. I was leaning towards the ICs too. I checked the solder again and ckd continuity of the pads to next-in-line components and they all check good (even with an eye loupe, these eyes and mind are getting old). Someone local suggested i check the other resistors (non-3,9ohms) on the off chance one of them may have taken a hit. Other well meaning techs have been pointing to Service Menu items, but the R

Sharp model lcd2a33M,after plug in an power on ,tv on .after few minute power indication on green change to indication red. TV on only few minute

Hey
1) Make sure you are not accidentally pressing the remote control or the Power OFF button is not stuck inwards.
2) If the TV has a key panel (Power Button) on the back cover. Check and see the button is not stuck into.
IF above fails
1) Sounds like a hardware issue. Some signals are not sending the right or receiving the right data. So the protection circuit of the TV has been activated. Please get your manufacturer to come in and give it a good check.
2) If you are able to do "Reset" the TV. It will help. But realize that this might settle the issue or worse it creates unforeseen conditions.

When my tv is on only shows colors blue and green the picture has been change

You sound like you are connected with a compnent video cable. Red, Green , blue for the video and red and white for audio.
Check the connection on the red video cable at both ends to make sure it's pushed in firmly. Also make sure you don't have the red audio cable plugged in to the video section accidentally.
After you fix it you'll need to reset any color changes you did to try to fix it before.

Red and green stripes (1" wide) running down the screen. Started with one red, now a green and another red. The stripes come and go at times, but most of the time they are present.

Hello,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is actually one of those known and predicted issues with LCD televisions. What these are called are "dead" lines of resolution aka dead pixels aka frozen pixels.
This is one of the flaws of LCD televisions, there is a completely random, unpredictable fail rate of LCD pixels in all panels, the likeliness of failed pixels varies depending on the quality of the panels used in the TV.
There really isn't a resolution to make them go away, if they are simply frozen, usually a light (VERY LIGHT) tapping of the screen at the top and bottom points of the line will refresh the pixels. If they are coming and going more often, it means that the panel is weak or malfunctioning in those areas and you need a new panel in the TV. Unfortunately it's quite an expensive repair, running at least $400 USD, if you are within warranty period (usually only 3 months for dead lines of resolution.. but it varies up to 12 months depending on the manufacturer) I would suggest calling Vizio and inquiring about a replacement TV. They generally won't allow a repair as it costs them less to simply give you a new unit all together.
My apologies for your bad luck!

Flashing Red & Green lights - Samsung ML 2510

Hi
It maybe one of the fuse gone.

You have to change the fuse:
The fuse is 250mAh and 3/4" inch long (20 mm) round glass with metal ends. The electrical contacts are not in the cartridge but inside the printer: There is a plastic fuse holder on the cartridge, even the starter cartridge. You just simply pop it into the holder. This will stop the flashing red LED and the system tray will say the cartridge is full.
