Elctrolux dishwasher won't start, display won't light. Any suggestions?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EWDW6505GS, seems like it is not receiving power to the control panel. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging your appliance or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Restore power and try any cycle. If you are still not receiving any lights, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing your control panel to not have power.. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Riso HC5500 S01-204 error

  • Code: 001 S96
  • Description:Power supply remote signal not connected The control signal cable for the ON/OFF control of the 24/38-VDC output is disconnected. The signal wire grounded inside the power supply unit has been pulled up by the IP PCB to detect the level.
  • Code: 003 S97
  • Description:38-VDC power supply voltage error A voltage drop is detected when a voltage drop is sensed by the IP PCB based on the signal resulting from dividing the 38-VDC resistance inside the power supply unit. The detection level is approximately 18 VDC. Voltage polling is conducted at 100-ms intervals by the IP-CPU. An error is detected when a voltage drop is sensed 10 times in succession (approx. 1 sec). No detection is performed when the interlock SW is open.
  • Code: 004 S97
  • Description:24-VDC power supply voltage error A voltage drop is detected when a voltage drop is sensed by the IP PCB based on the signal resulting from dividing the 24-VDC resistance inside the power supply unit. The detection level is approximately 11 VDC. Voltage polling is conducted at 100-ms intervals by the IP-CPU. An error is detected when a voltage drop is sensed 10 times in succession (approx. 1 sec). No detection is performed when the interlock SW is open.
  • Code: 006 S97
  • Description:3.3-VDC power supply voltage error A voltage drop is detected when a voltage drop is sensed in the 3.3-VDC power supply on the MIP side of the IP PCB. Voltage polling is conducted at 100-ms intervals by the IP-CPU. An error is detected when a voltage drop is sensed 10 times in succession (approx. 1 sec).

  • Code: 007 S97
  • Description:1.8-VDC power supply voltage error A voltage drop is detected when a voltage drop is sensed in the 1.8-VDC power supply on the MIP side of the IP PCB. Voltage polling is conducted at 100-ms intervals by the IP-CPU. An error is detected when a voltage drop is sensed 10 times in succession (approx. 1 sec).
  • Code: 008 S96
  • Description:Control panel not connected The absence of the control panel unit to be connected to the MC PCB is detected. Since this configuration lacks this panel, this error indication will not be issued under normal operating circumstances.
  • Code: 009 S96
  • Description:Print counter not connected The absence of a print counter is detected.
  • Code: 011 S96
  • Description:CIS PCB not connected The connection of the CIS PCB cannot be confirmed.

Well here is a way to check your power supply, on your hard drive connector using your volt meter and measuring from ground. this would be using one of two middle connectors it should measure +5 VDC on the red wire and + 12 VDC on the yellow wire. If these voltages are good then we got to see if the power supply is producing the -12VDC voltage. This voltage is ussed by the syustemboard on pin 14 of a 24 pin power supply. I would recommend not having your system board plugged in while measuring these votlages, but the power supply may need a load, I would plug in the cdrom.. Below are a couple of picture to explain this and a link to a website that has this documented.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html

dfish26_1.jpg The 24 pin main power connector was added in ATX12V 2.0 to provide extra power needed by PCI Express slots. The older 20 pin main power cable only has one 12 volt line. The new 24 pin connector added one line apiece for ground, 3.3, 5, and 12 volts. The extra pins made the auxiliary power cable unnecessary so most ATX12V 2.x power supplies don't have them. The 24 pin connector is polarized so it can only be plugged in pointing in the correct direction.

Tv goes black but you can hear the sound

You need to find out if you do have 24vdc output in the power supply to feed the back light inverter board first to find out if the problem is in the power supply or the inverter board, if you do have 24vdc, then you need to check the inverter board to see if the 24 vdc reaches the inverter board, also check the fuses on the inverter board.

Just as the others, stays on for a couple secs then go blank. If I power down and back on i ts on for a couple sec. Checked voltage on supply its 12.3 vdc

Point a flashlight at the screen when it shuts down and see if an image is still there. If so, it may be the backlight inverter. You can try to get the part, but most shops would charge you more than a replacement.

To verify, before you pitch it, try it with another monitor and see if the same thing occurs. Ran into a case where something downloaded reset the power-saving settings for the backlight.
