ProForm 380i Treadmill: How to repair frayed edge of Walking Belt
On my ProForm 380 i Treadmill that I just bought used, the Walking Belt has been used while crooked, and so the belt is worn on the one side where it has run up against the edge and the metal guides. Also, the Walking Belt has stretched out along the edge, so it has "ripples" on the edge. I knew this before I bought it, as the seller lady disclosed the problem, so I got a good price deal on it, and being very practical person, I just want to repair it.
I am going to fix the alignment of the Walking Belt as Robert Braun suggested (above) by turning the hex screws in opposite directions.
But: Can I repair the slightly worn edge of the Walking Belt, maybe by putting a thin 1" wide strip of DUCT TAPE on the top surface, to prevent it from fraying any more? Or is there some other way to safely secure the edge of the Walking Belt?
