Pictures from VX5400 to computer using USB cable.

We have an LG VX5400 Phone. Can we use an USB cable to download pictures to a computer? Will we need any software other than drivers? Will it work on both PC and Mac?

I have the cable. I use BitPim on my Mac because no other software works. Verizon has NO software and claims that the only way to get photos off is to send them to their website. I have bought 3 different cables and NONE transfers photos.

Hello
You can always use your USB cable to download pictures to a computer.
All you need to do is to connect the the USB to both the computer and the phone and when they have both paired each other you can now download whatever you want to download without any software.

I use a usb cable to download my pictures from my lg phone to my computer. It unplugs from the charger, thats the usb end. I connect the cord to my phone, then plug the usb end into the computer. The computer downloads the appropriate drivers to recognize the phone.

You need a cable. It is regular ''USB'' on the computer end, and likely ''Mini USB'' on the phone end. Whatever configuration, the cable is available. You _may_ also need software to install on the computer to transfer data back and forth, but that should have come with the phone; (so should the cable).

try using the last four digits of the cell phone number .. then go to nam through phone setting and select reset. than shoukd do the trick ..good luck

there are few steps to transfer picture from computer to your lg gt505 phone.. its either you use bluetooth (if your laptop or computer has a blutooth), or you transfer it using a cable usb. cable usb is given to you when you buy your phone. every phone has usb cable. or u can transfer it using a card reader and put it on your memory card. hope this helps.

Can't download pictures from cell to computer
Here's how you download the pictures if your cell phone provider has disabled USB Mass Storage Mode.

With Windows XP, connect the phone to your computer using a USB cable, then in the phone open the menu, go to Tools, USB Mode, and select "Print" - wait a while, then your computer should detect the phone and ask you if you want to use scanner and camera wizard. You may not be able to preview the pictures with the wizard, but you will be able to download them.

Can't send pictures from LG Accolade (VX5600) cell phone to a PC.

How do I download pictures from my LG VX5500 to my computer?
The simplest way to do this is to:
  1. Download and install BitPim from www.bitpim.org.
  2. Start BitPim
  3. Tether the phone to your PC with a standard micro USB cable (like the one that comes with a Droid or newer BlackBerry). BitPim will autodetect the VX5500.
  4. Go to the View menu and select "View Filesystem".
  5. Browse to the brew / mod / 10888 folder, right-click on each jpg file in the right pane, and select "Save" to save them to a folder on your computer
Unfortunately, you need to save the pictures one by one, so if you have a lot of pictures it will take a while. But hey, it's free and you're sticking it to Verizon.
