Changing time on Nortel networks Phone system

Our time is off on our phones. I know this must be a simple process but there does not seem to be a manual... Do you have simple instructions or a manual I can down load?

Sorry, the tester012 was an accident, so I wanted to repost in case there were more questions on this.

The answer still stands for most Nortel PBXs:
To set the time and date of your system you program in load 2:
Step 1) LD 02
Step 2) STAD "Day Month Year Hour Minute Second"
i.e. STAD "24 11 1976 15 41 49" =
November 24th 1976 3:41pm 49 seconds"
To test it...
Type: "TTAD" - (this tests time and date)

But I also wanted to clarify that it is in the manual, but since there are multiple manuals with a Nortel PBX, that you need to look in the LD (or Loads) in them. This particular one is found in LD 02.

Another site to check out for a crash course in LD for Nortel (in case you have similar issues that you need assistance on) is this one here:
http://www.pbxinfo.com/meridian-systems/16288-meridian-crash-course-programming-guide.html

I hope this has been helpful, again I am sorry for not having logged in properly to be notified on more explanation when I posted Solution #1.

If you are lucky your service engineer may have configured a key on your switch to allow you to do this;on the extreme right hand side there is a row of 10 keys.press each one of these keys one at a time and at the same time watch the screen.if you see the time appear in a 24 hour format ie 12 40 then this is the key you need to use to change the time.the process is as follows.
press a loop key (these are the keys you use to answer calls)
press the key you found from above
enter the time in a 24 hour format ( 15 35 ) 335 pm
press the key you found from above again
press release
wait a few minutes and time should change...i hope this helps

How do I reset my phone system? Nortel Norstar

It's simple.

On Vmail it's Ftr 983 -> pswd -> 1 -> reinstall -> yes
On MICS it's pull the power plug off and within 15 minutes -> Ftr** -> startup -> pswd

To be sure follow the users manual instructions. You can get the pdf user manual here: Nortel Norstar pdf manual

We call out but the person on the other end cannot hear us?

If they can hear you on your speaker but not the handset, the handset is bad. If they can't hear you either way, most likely the phone is bad. Try changing it with one that works, if the trouble follows the phone you have a bad phone. If the problem happens with the phone that did work you have a problem with your extension port in the phone system.

I have a used Nortel Networks T7316E and for some reason when I plug it in to the phone line at home I get no dial tone and the light at the top and the three buttons on the bottom (headset)(Mute) etc......

The Nortel 7316 set is propriatary which requires the nortel system in qrder to work., The pulsing lights are the set reacting to the standard line voltage. In order for it to work in your house you'll have to install the nortel phone cabinetand then attach the set(s) to it.
