My searches of the internet indicate that this appliance is a multi-fuel appliance.
It is supplied with a gas bottle - for use with butane fuel
(see http://www.dx.com/p/campsor-9-split-type-camping-oil-gas-fuel-stove-silver-red-126914#.U0we9nlOVjo )
Read the reviews on that webpage for reviwers experiences with different types of fuel. Diesel doesn't work, it seems, but kerosenr and unleaded gasoline (petrol) work ok. You may need different connector for gaseous fuel and liquid fuels.
Coleman Naptha fuel apparently works well.
I hope this information is some use.

Is there a reason or a need? I cannot imagine why you would want to,
except as a point of interest for your camp kitchen. A new propane
stove would work better and not cost all that much, relative to the work
and cost of putting fittings, pipes and burners into the old stove box.
Multifuel stoves can accommodate various fuels including
white gas, unleaded auto gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel and diesel. They tend to
cost more than any other camping stove.
It is an old one, Propane? or gasoline/camp stove fuel?
If propane and will not remain lit- replace the thremocouple- that thing beside the pilot flame that does not seem to do anything- it holds the gas valve open when flame is present.
If gasoline/camp stove fuel and will not light or does not stay lit- clean the "generator" which is under the asbestos shell. It is not even acknowledged by Coleman anymore.
The old Coleman Camp Stoves used White Gasoline or petrol. However, that is no longer approved and has been banned as a safety issue for some years now. With that said, you have a real antique and if it's in decent condition, is worth some money to collectors of old camping equipment. You may want to rethink giving it away (because, it can't be used as a camp stove any longer) and sell it to an antique dealer or collector.
I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
