Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... I was watching TV yesterday and all of a sudden the picture went all. ... started makinga very high pitched buzzing sound with no picuture coming on. We did have a bunch of green vertical lines, but now just a black screen.
It sounds like one of those cables has a defective ground. The static noise you are experiencing is cause by the cables not inside the TV. Try using different cables to isolate the problem and get new ones.
Good Luck.
there is sinal interferences from laser products pc mobile transmitters or video games get high quality vcr and cable tv cables move or switch off any video games cd players energy saving lamps or pc and microwaves n motors like pumps change the position of installation of cable and antenna to avoid path of interference
Yes,loud static usually comes from bad isolation of sound signal path so it's probably a frayed cable or a loose jack. Or if you're unlucky some parts inside have failed.
should replace capacitor ( c 1010 marked on board if it is a M134C chasie also (c 1013) both capastors are 10 mfd at 16 volts. Also check (Q603) rca part number 266897 could be bad.
I have sound on video 2, and when on a static channel but not on the usual channel 3 which is TV. Just stoppen working one day and cant figure it out... Please help!
Check the aerial cable, ensure it is well plugged in and getting signal.
If you are using a receiver box, check cables to TV and receiver (freeview, sat, cable etc.), try setting channels on receiver again, if it does not work but you get static, then either the cables or receiver are defective.
Test the TV on standalone , connecting it to an external antenna. Tune again the channels, and save the preset. If still no signal then the antenna socket on the TV may be defective.
Try using the TV with a DVD.
If you can watch DVDs, and TV is not keeping channels preset, and you tried all the above, at this point htere may be a fault in the tuner card inside tv.
Call the phone number listed on tv user manual to get support, and eventually repair it.
