You need to free some space for more storage. Delete some items eg music, pics, videos, ringtones etc that are unnecessarily used. The store space is running low

My computer is running slowly. Do I have to clear the browser cache to get it fixed? Does iOS automatically delete its cache?

Yes, your iOS device automatically deletes the cache to free up storage. But your device will only clear its cache once your storage is almost full. As your phone may already be running slow by this time, manually deleting it is faster and more effective.

Keeps saying low storage need to do an update on phone as i havent anything stored opn it an i have 4gb sd card

Hi,

It seems all your applications are stored in the Phone Memory and/or your application data is taking up lot of memory. Consider performing the following steps:

  1. Go to Settings --> Applications --> Manage Applications. In this Menu you'll be shown a list of applications. Use the Menu Button to "Sort by Size" and get a list of the applications sorted from high memory usage to low (phone memory). Once this is done, you'll be able to view the memory being used by each of the applications. Click on the applications which you see are consuming more memory and then use the "Clear Data" button to clean up the data being stored by the applications to free up memory. This clears up any cache, cookie, temp files associated with the applications. Depending on your android version, you may also see an additional button "Move to SD Card". The best option to get more space would be to use this button and move the application to the 4 GB SD Card storage.
  2. Optional Step if you do not have "Move to Phone/SD Card" option available - From the Android Market, download and install "App 2 SD Free". Once done, this application should help you free up a lot of space by moving applications from your phone memory to the SD card.
Hope this was helpful. If so, please consider rating this solution.

-thanks,
M

I have IBM eServer with ServeRaid-7K on board controller and have 3 SCSI 73GB hard drives configured in RAID-5 array. Hard Drives are running critically low on space and I bought 3 300GB scsi Ultra320 hard...

First, buy an external storage device, at least 80GB (although it's currently difficult to find any _smaller_ size!) and make a file-by-file, folder-by-folder, backup of your 73GB of "data".

Second, buy another external storage device, and do a Google-search for "drive image freeware".
Pick one of those applications, and do a "image" backup to this second external storage device.

Third, disconnect the 3 "old" drives, carefully label them, and set them aside.

Fourth, connect the 3 "new" drives, delete the old RAID-5 array definition,
and create a new RAID-5 array definition.

Fifth, do an "image restore" from the second external storage device to the new array.

If you have any problems, all you need to do to "back-out" is to:
* disconnect the "new" drives
* reconnect the "old" drives
* delete the "new" array definition
* redefine the "old" array definition

and you're back to the "old" configuration.

My HTC P4350 is running low on free storage space

The system have used nearly the maximum internal memory available: Storage: Total 33.45 MB; In Use: 32.80 MB; Free: 0.66 MB Program.

If you already deleted or moved to memory card your files, that means that the space is taken by installed application/games, or by files left over by previously installed applications.

Save all your files on computer and do a complete reset of the HTC, restoring system to factory settings.

What does Windows Vista error 0x00000005 mean?

Applications that are reading file allocation table (FAT) based storage devices at the time of a resume may receive the following error message from the file system: ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED (0x00000005) This occurs although the file has appropriate sharing and access permission.

Examples of storage media that frequently use the FAT file system on Pocket PC 2002 are the PCMCIA PC Card ATA, the Compact Flash (CF) Storage Card, and the Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card.

This behavior is observed when using Pocket PC 2002 Adaptation Kit Update 4 (AKU4) and later.

RESOLUTION:

Applications can handle this situation by detecting the specific error code while reading a storage card file, and then retrying for a short period until the device is ready. The following is an example C code fragment that demonstrates this concept: while ( !WriteFile( hFile, achBuffer, dwBytesRequested, &dwBytesReturned, 0 ) &&
( ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED == GetLastError() ) )
{
// Access Denied: Maybe the file system is not ready yet.
tries++;
if ( tries > 4 )
break;
Sleep(500);
}
// It has been a few seconds. The file cannot be accessed.

You can use the same approach for other programming languages. For applications that access the storage card through middleware libraries that do not provide direct access to the file system, you may have to implement transactional or block verification methods to get reliable data transfer across a suspend resume.

How can I formate n72 Phone memory . Please reply me

Lack of memory in cellular phones is usually due to installation of too many third party applications and or too many programs running at the same time. Try to free up memory by closing applications that you are not using and ensure that your emails and attachments are being save to your memory card and not your phones storage space. Also be sure to clean out your mobile browsers memory from time to time. install all your programs, music and themes to your memory card. this will surely free up your phones memory and prevent the "low memory" message.

To free device memory, transfer data to a memory card in the file manager. Mark files to be moved, select Move to: folder > Memory card, and a folder.

To free memory from the device or from the memory card, use Image Store available in Nokia PC
Suite to transfer images and video clips to a compatible PC. See the CD-ROM supplied with your device.

To remove data to free memory, use File mgr., or go to the respective application. For example, you can remove the following:

• Messages from Inbox, Drafts, and Sent folders in Messaging

Press, and select Tools > Memory.

HTC P4350 Back up contacts

Use the Sprite Backup program, if available, to back up device data to a storage card or a designated folder in your device. Check your device user manual to know whether Sprite Backup is included in the Application Disc that came with your device. It is also recommended that you frequently synchronize your PDA phone with your computer, so you can quickly restore data when your PDA phone gets lost or damaged
