Compatbility of product in Australia?

Im interested in buying the i-931 lasonic Boombox, but am curious as to whether it can be used in Australia?

The mains plug has a North American (two straight pronged) end, and there is a DC 12volt cable insert on the back of the system. There is also a switch that switches between "AC" and "DC".

Would I need an adapter, and a transformer? or neither? or a dc plug?
Would our 240v blow it with just an adapter?

Hopefully you're able to help me out.

Peace out.

On the back of the panel peel the label off and you will see 110/220V switch Selector. If your country require 220V power requirement, please switch to 220V and you only need to purchase power plug adapter which fit in Australia.

Hello,
if you connect the boombox direct to the your mains of 240v, the appliances will blow up , to avoid that you need a step down transformer to connect the boombox before it goes into the mains source. you do not need any adapter, only if you want to use battery that is when you to swicth to 12v

Sound comes out of left channel only in my Lasonic L-30K boombox

Check the speaker wire for proper contact, swap speakers around to rule out the speaker, if okay suspect the left audio output chip.

Does anyone know where I can get a power cord for my Lasonic portable stereo cd radio cassette recorder model CDP-299?

There's nothing special about the original power cord, so I'd go to Radio Shack and get it for $8

Or you may have an unused one from other device lying around the house.

My boombox wont work when I put batteries in. It works fine when its plugged in but when I tried to play it using the batteries nothing happen. Please help. Thanks

A Lasonic 931 ? It has probably been taken apart by someone before you and may have unplugged the power feed from the battery compartment. Remove the rear panel then check the two wires that come from the battery box are connected to the circuit board. If not, then check to see where they go on the board, it`s not hard to do.Look for the little tabs they slide onto..

I have just turned on my brand new lasonic i+931 boombox. I plugged it in and it automatically turned on, made a loud humming noise and then within seconds turned itself off. I was thinking maybe a fuse...

same happened to me. it might be the battery circuit or the batteries many times fall out of place so they dnt work. call lasonic or send it back for a new one for free like mine

Brand new lasonic i931 boombox wont turn on!!!

okay, i had a similar problem, and the problem turned out to be a bad connection. If you open up the battery box, in the bottom top left corner there is a positive connection wire that looks kind of like a "U".
this connection doesn't come in contact with the batteries, so you need to extend it by wrapping a small piece of wire or something to make it stick out more.

what we actually did was put a piece of 1/4 in. by 1 in. piece of copper flashing in the plastic slot and across the U shaped connector to increase conductivity and it works fine.

i hope this was helpful!
