Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108 DVD Camcorder Logo
Posted on May 20, 2010

Hello, I have tried twice before and it had worked--importing my videos to imovie. However, now it will not. I finalized the recordings, I plugged it in, clicked the little tap with the cd. Imovie opens automatically and a window pops up saying something like "looking for/locating sony handycam" and when it finishes nothing imports. Help, please? Thanks, Lily

I had the same problem with the Everio MG330 and I have fixed this problem!!
iMovie needs to be updated to v7.1.1 or it will NOT import from the Everio MG330 HDD video camera.  iMovie '08 is not enough, it needs to be upgraded to v7.1.1

I searched long and hard and finally found this.  IT WORKS NOW!!
1. Update to iMovie 7.1.1 2. Close iMovie 3. Plug in camera using USB cable (iMovie is OFF) 4. Open camera viewer to turn on camera 5. Choose top option (I think it is watch on PC or download to PC or something like that) 6. Open iMovie and follow the pop up instructions for importing.
Please go back to all of the other places you have looked to fix this problem and post this.  Let's help each other.
