Are you using the batteries recommended by the manufacturer? that is a very important fact, even though you can find other batteries that have the same specs, they make the cameras to where it will work best, and sometimes only, with the batteries recommended.

Camera won't trun on

It is either a battery contact problem or it is something more serious with the camera.

Panasonic DMC-TZ3: one day it's working fine, next it won't power on. Tried the "Power Saver" reset technique posted ... didn't work. Battery is fully-charged.

Hello
Try removing the battery and the memory card for 1 minute then return them back. Make sure the battery is inserted properly. If that didn't work, try turning it on without the memory card.

Did you get any error message when you try to turn on your camera?

Cannot turn on anymore my Panasonic TZ3

If the battery is fully charged then there is nothing to do but take/ send it in for service. Contact Panasonic or your retailer to find out where the closest Authorized service agent is.

My camera lens isn't working, how can I reset it?

it sounds like there is dirt, dust or something else in the lens mechanism. I'm assuming you don't want to take the camera to a repair shop. I've had several cameras and this issue comes up periodically.

You can try:

1. using compressed air (with as thin a nozzle as you can find) to blow out the dust,
2. try powering on the camera and zooming the lens at the same time, 3. gently knocking the camera on a hard surface to loosen the lens mechanism,
4. manually forcing the lens to go back in. This can potentially damage the camera, but it's not working now, so you don't have a lot to lose.
5. Googling the camera model to see if you can find instructions on opening the camera up to clean the lens mechanism.

Camera was dropped and now won't turn on. Battery

Have you charged the battery since the drop? If not plug it in and charge it...

After that if the camera still isn't turning on then I'm sorry to say the camera is most likely busted.

But if you can get your hands on a spare battery as well give that a try.

Good luck!

Camera wont turn on

First thing is to be sure battery and its connection to camera terminals is good. Be sure the battery charges normally when plugged into its charger. Charger light should be green when charging, then go out when done.

Next is to clean the battery contacts with a clean pencil erasure to remove any potential contamination built up. Now, try to measure the battery charge across its pos (+) and neg (-) terminals. This means either finding someone who can do this for you if you don't have a Volt Meter, or buying one at RadioShack or any Auto Parts store. The simple ones are cheap and this is all you need. A fully charged battery should measure about 4V DC.

If the charger and battery are good, then with the battery out of the camera, cycle the camera power switch on/off several times to try to clean its contacts. Now install the battery and move the power switch to on and hold for a good 5 seconds. Repeat this a few times.

If no response, then camera is defective. Sell it on ebay auction to a repairman who will buy it to fix and resale. Now buy youself a used, refurb w/warranty, or new on on ebay. Prices are very good because many are for sale(this is a very popular camera and millions were sold) and the TZ3 has been replaced with the newer TZ5.

It is easy to post your camera on ebay. Just search for a TZ3 for sale and on its Ad Page, you will find a link that says "Sell one like this". This will set you up with a TZ3 Ad Template w/default picture and Specs, and you just follow the prompts for your Headline/price/shipping/ etc.
