Your xbox is going to die..
but there is a way that you can play it.just heat up your xbox for couple of mins.then try again.it works.
every time you see E73 error just do this

When i turn on my xbox 360 it turns to a black screen and says i have error E73 and when i went to Xbox.com it didnt say anything about it
Turn on unit until the red light flashes and the error code(E 73) shows up on the screen. Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.

Got the Xbox 360 E73 error? Want to get it fixed? Fact is that this problem may be tough to fix, and that's why many people will tell you to send your console over to Microsoft and pay $150. 1. Restart your console.

the problem with e73 is that its the system telling you there is a problem with the ethernet cable reciver but there may or may not be. 90% of the ,consoles i come across have not been a problem with the ethernet reciver at all some of the more popular problem flashing this code is a result of system failure in the mother boards ability to read properly the connection between the cpu and gpu units under the heat sinks. there are a few fixes avalible for this projected e73 problem. i strongly caution you not to preform work unless you are familiar with the console and its internal parts. ------- I cannot guarantee that this will work for everyone to fix it.

Remove the A/V cord from the back of the XBox 360. Stick two sticks into the fans to prevent them from spinning. This will cause the system to overheat within five minutes. You will know its done when the first and third quadrants light up red on the system (indicating the system has overheated). Unplug the system, plug it back in and turn it on to see if it was successful. (Note: While this method does not void your warranty, if your XBox is still under warranty I suggest sending to Microsoft to fix.)
