Try the cascade new soap they have been changing the ingredents due to state requirments for the water treatment. also make sure spray arms and jet are free from food particles, also clean soap dispencer,If you want run CLR through dish washer no dishes to clean machine. Thanks
Hi. Check to be sure you don't have water in the bottom of your machine after the cycle completes. If you do, then you have a partial blockage in your drain pump or your drain line or the trap under the sink. If there is no water, do this. Put two cups of white vinegar into the machine when it is empty and then run your hottest and longest cycle. This will clean the interior of the machine.
That said, please always rinse your dishes before using the machine and always run the hot tap water into the sink until it is nice and hot before starting up your machine. These steps will greatly improve the sanitation of your dishwasher. J.
#1 check the upper spinner arm to see if it is clogged with particles if it is, clean the holes outi f they get clogged the arm-sprayer will not clean the upper rack
#2 if it is not clogged got to your local Grc.chain and purchase a bottle of dishwasher cleaner for about 8.00 follow all instructins on bottle make sure water is hot by running hot water tap closest to dishwasher.use it in an empty dishwasher. You will be amazed how clean your dishes will come out after the first wash
You are not getting enough water in the machine. The inlet valve is probably plugged with sand or something of the sort. You will need to replace the inlet valve.
check the holes on the sprayer for the upper rack, somtimes they get pluged up and the top rack dishes wont get sprayed off. if they are pluged remove them and wash in a sink
Are dishes also not coming clean? Most likely, there is not enough water chruning in the tub to rinse soap out of cup during wash cycle. Sufficient wash action will wash the soap out of the cup and dissolve it in the water within a few seconds of the cup opening.
Most likely causes are:
Not enough water entering dishwasher (check level after fill... Should be slightly below bottom wash arm)
Water filling but draining during wash cycle. Check toward end of wash cycle but before drain. See if water level is diminished from start of wash cycle.
New 'water saver' dishwashers are notorious for having smaller water jets, and thus easier to stop-up jets. Check the jets on all wash arms to be sure they are cleared of food particles.
Another way to check the wash arms is to manually position them at specific locations, momentarily run the dishwasher for a few seconds, then open the door to inspect the location of the wash arms. Do this three or four times to eliminate the possibility of coincidence.
If the wash arms do not move from the location that you put them, the most likely cause is food particles stopping up the water jets. These jets not only clean the dishes but also the water pressure they generate turn the arms inside the dishwasher to properly distribute water pressure on the dishes.
Sometimes you can dislodge and remove food particles stuck in one of the jets with a toothpick or other small probe. Others require that you remove the arm(s) and get a little more creative. I use compressed air to clear mine, but not everyone has access to compressed air, so use whatever you can to remove the food particles.
Simply dislodging them from the water ports is usually not effective... As soon as water pressure is applied, the particles return to the jets and stop them up again. The real fix in this instance is to completely remove the food particles from the arm if you can.
If someone is putting dishes in the washer and obstructing the spray ams that would cause food to stay on dishes. After loading dishwasher and pushing in baskets make sure the spray arm doesnt hit any of the dishes causing them to not clean properly. If that doesnt work or is definately not your problem try removing the spray arm and seeing if it has food inside of it. Some times they get food build up in them and need to be flushed out.
Very common problem is soap build up in these machines. Try putting it into a wash cycle with no dishes, and no soap. Let it wash for about 5 minutes, and then open the door. If you see alot of soap suds, then soap build up is the problem. Try doing a couple loads with no soap, and no dishes, and throw a cup of vinegar into the machine halfway through the wash. Repeat as necessary. This should solve your problem.
I have this same problem, plus the pre-wash soap dispenser doesn't open sometimes even though a service guy replaced that. Could he have replaced just one side and not the other? this dishwasher also has a new motor. sometimes it washes beautifully. but other times it does not. even if both dispensers opened.
