Ed Michaels : Hi, your machine is long out of production and installation instructions usually come with the machine and are not published. you have a standard size 24" built in machine, and most 24" machines will fit the space. I would click on Jenn Air or call 1-800-JENN-AIR (536-6247) and ask for a replacement recommendation and a copy of old installation instructions for planning with designer or installer. They have access to records if anyone does and an interest in serving you. Alternatively, talk to another seller and discuss installation. they will also want to help. There's a $14 fuse between cooking & your magnetron (could be other things (but in my opinion... magnetrons sound right for your symptoms)

I checked for your magnetron
and got MFR Number 461967847321 - not AVAILABLE.

(there is one $74 on eBay (very bottom, below)).


I LOOKED at your oven and it is a really nice one...

So I think I'd be hitting all the on-line parts houses
to see if you can locate one...

The Jenn Air microwave that is mounted above the oven in your unit is 110v 60Hz. The socket in the upper rear right corner of the oven is a 110v 6Hz socket and is where the microwave would be plugged in. If you are going to replace the microwave, you can plug it into that socket. If you would rather not use that socket, you will have to drill a hole in the side of the cabinet holding the over/microwave to get the power cord out.

Be advised that they are heavy. You may need 2 people to check this. The bracket may have a lip on the wall section that you have to take the weight off of to move it.

I read your comment about needing to remove the control board to inspect it for damage. Looking at the diag. below, all you need to do is open the oven door and remove the two screws (#2 on diag.) fastening the brackets that hold the board in place and you can take it from there.

Refer to the diag. below If it was me, I would start by turning the breakers for both ovens OFF, then, in getting someone to help me pull the oven out, disconnect the power cord and check the power circuit protection devices like the fuse #4, located above the fan and the power board #25 also located on the back of the unit. Before replacing the blown fuse, inspect the wiring, If the unit is mounted over an oven that was in the Self Cleaning Mode that reaches temps. of about 500 degrees, there is a chance that a wire's insulation melted and shorted the unit.

your jenn-air wring problem ok

There's a circuit breaker behind the microwave. Yup, that's where
they put it, believe it or not. The microwave and the oven are joined
together so you have to pull both of them out to get to the circuit
breaker. There are screws that hold the microwave and oven to the
cabinet it's mounted in. There should be 4 around the microwave
door and 6 around the oven door. The oven door needs to be
removed to get to the 2 bottom screws. The oven door has a metal
tab on it's 2 hinges that must be pushed down to unlatch the oven
door hinges from the 2 (per side) posts that the oven door pivots
on to open and close. After the door has been removed you can
take out the last 2 screws, you should also remove the vent at
the very bottom of the oven by removing it's 2 screws. Make sure
you have a least 2 strong people to pull the whole unit out, it's
also a good idea to have something sturdy that's the same height
as the bottom of the oven to rest it on after you pull it out. You
don't really have to pull the unit completely out, but it helps. You'll
see the small circuit breaker on top of the oven at the rear of the
microwave, just press it to reset it. Putting the unit back in the
cabinet is the reverse of the removal, but be sure you don't pinch
the armored conduit that contains the gas line for the oven. It'll
probably want to fall behind the oven as you push it back into
place like it did at my friends house. What we did was I pulled it
up and held it at the back of the microwave while 2 guy's pushed
the unit back in. Fortunately, it stayed in place after they pushed
it part way in and I had to pull my arm out of the way. It's a really
crappy place to put a circuit breaker for the microwave. I mean,
come on! You couldn't put it under the microwaves bottom cover
plate? There's room for it there! Anyway, that's how it went at my
friends house. I hope this helps you fix you're problem.

their is a panel up near the top on the right hand side of the interior cabinet just remove the screws and put in a new bulb
