Replacing fuse in Coolpix 5400

Hi
I read you answer to another post where you had suggested replacing the fuse in a Coolpix 5400 in order to get it working again.
I have a similar problem with the camera not turning on and I am keen to try replacing the fuse. I have opened the camera but am unable to locate the fuse - could you please help me understand where the fuse is ?
Also, if you have any idea on where I can find a replacement fuse in the US, that would be great
Thanks in advance

Wont power up. found blown fuse replaced. immediatley blew new fuse... any suggestions??

Hi Greg,
The obvious answer is to tell you to check which circuit is involved because, if the fuse keeps blowing, there's probably something which is knackered and therefore needs replacing.

Camera powers down after about 30 seconds.

This sounds like the battery is no longer keeping a charge or working properly. I suggest you purchase another battery and see if this fixes your problem. These cameras also worked on a disposable battery called the 2CR5 which should be available at your local walgreens, cvs, duane reade. If this does not solve the problem then you will have to take or ship to local service center. I use photo tech in New York; www.phototech.com

Nikon Coolpix 5400 replacement CCD needed

Look for a broken camera just like yours and use it for parts. I am sure there is one for sale somewhere out there at an online auction site.

Blur on LCD and on pictures taken

Sorry to tell you this but your CCD is gone. In a fwe days time pics will be black in color. CP 5400 uses a batch of defective Sony CCD's. Nikon's service center in Kolkata, India replaced the CCD in my CP 5400 free of cost. This was because Nikon has issued a service advisory. Try your luck with the Nikon service center closest to your home!
