Modle evl201nxrq00 not cold enought to freeze food

I need you to feel the top of the compressor and tell me how hot it is. Also tell me if the condenser fan next to the compressor is running. If the top of the compressor is too hot to keep your hand on top the problem may be the=> 4356738 Start Relay also found here=> 4356738 Start Relay Here is a link to the repair parts list=> EVL201NXRQ00 Repair Parts List You can see the parts listed on page 5 and 6 of the above parts list. Hopefully this is the only problem causing your freezer to stop freezing as well. If the 4356738 Start Relay is defective it will cause the problems by not allowing the compressor to run or start very well also cause the top of the compressor to overheat. You may also need to change the=> 8210224 Capacitor also found here=> 8210224 Capacitor And the=> 2-34286-021 Overload also found here=> 2-34286-021 Overload Feel the top of the compressor first and let me know the results and we will go from there, Thanks Sea Breeze

Let me know if the compressor is hot and we will know the compressor is trying to start but cannot. Replacing these parts will possibly solve the problem of your freezer being on but not freezing everything, We need to make sure the compressor is running, Thanks Sea Breeze

Freezer does not get cold enough.will not get lower than 21 degrees. I took some articles off the top shelf so that the inlet could function better, but do I need to find the return air vent and clear it?

All vents should have at least 2 inches clear in front of them. Also>> Is your circulating fan working?

Ihave a hoover fridge freezer it started freezing the fridge compartment now freezer not freezing and compressor comes on and go's striaght off again

Sounds like your compressor relay switch is bad but feel the compressor and see if it is hotter then you think it should be. That is easy to tell because you will not want to keep your hand on it long. That would mean a possable bad compressor. Please give a thumbs up for my effort. I could help more if I was there. keep me informed though. The Raz Shack
