My Toshiba 32AF42 all of a sudden went to a black screen and the red power light was been blinking for days. It will not power on by the remote or by pressing the power button. We've tried unplugging the tv for biref periods of time but still nothing. Any suggestions?

How do I fix the problem with my TV? Details are below.

Normally on the Panasonic tv this will call for a service call. The key to getting it repaired correctly is to check for a certified Samsung repair shop because most of the parts come from Samsung. Now if you want to do your own research call to 800 number for Panasonic Tv see if there are any problems with that model that the manufacturer has extended but does not post. I had one repaired that the red light on also so I understand and it went out approximately 4 3/4 years. If your in the Atlanta area use Norman electronics they have repaired hundreds on tvs for me due to my work.

TV will not turn on. Power light just blinks

Hi, on most of the CRT(glass picture tube) TV the common failure area is the deflection or power supply board(s). If you're TV is a 32AF42(what shows in your post)there is a remanufactured board available at partstore.com. I suggest you take a quick check at the deflection board in the TV set and try to determine if this is the board to replace, horizontal output transistor, flyback or horizontal out transformer, power supply regulator are some of the components to check. good luck!

Red power light continuously blinking. no picture no sound.

It could be the lamp went out and needs replacement. The Toshiba website states when this happens to unplug the televison for 10 minutes then plug back in. If that does not work then try another power outlet. If that does not work then call for service
