Audio problems - Onkyo TX-SR605

I have Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver that was working very well until I was required to take a prolonged business trip (approximately 3 months). Upon my return the unit passes video without any problems, but I can not pass audio to the speakers from any source, including the tuner, which is as straight forward as you can get. Cabling looks fine, and the speakers were tested on another unit and are working as well.

Turn off receiver, and notice when turning back on the number clicks you hear, you should hear one set of clicks when you first turn on, then 4-5- sec latewr you should hear another set of clicks, my guess is that you never hear the secound set of clicks which means you have a defective hdmi assembly. This is very common with Onkyo Products

It's often a problem with some of the 256 soldering legs underneath the Digital Sound Processor (DSP). Need to be fixed at a service center. This is a problem I've only seen on Onkyo products.

I want to control my Sony Bravia KDL-46VE5 TV with my Onkyo TX-SR605 remote controller. I cannot find the Bravia remote control code.

Sony TV codes for the Onkyo TX-SR605 are : 0000, 0650, 1100, 1167, 1300, 1505, & 1651.

Instructions for the Onkyo RC682M and more remote codes are available here. The Onkyo TX-SR605 manual is available here.

I hope that helps.
