Cannot open Sentry Safe #S3310

When we did a home renovation several years ago, we installed Sentry Safe #S3310 and it is bolted into the floor. My husband immediately lost or forgot the combination and so we've never been able to use the safe. Now we are separated and there have been some recent robberies in my neighborhood. I would love it if you could tell me how I can get into this safe so I can store jewelry and important papers. Thank you!

You can download a form from the Sentry website, then fax it to them. They will contact you for payment of $20 and will then e-mail you the combination to the safe, or for $15 you can get keys. However, if you just get the keys, know that the dial has to be on the last number of the combination for keyed entry.

If you registered your safe with SentrySafe you can contact them and they can give you the combination. If you did not then you will need the model number. The model number is located on the inside door. You can go to sentrysafe.com and search for model S3310 and read the manual. Good luck.I see why you are seperated/divorced.

I have a sentry fire safe and the plastic gear where the handle turns the safe open has been stripped. I have the correct combination and have replaced the batteries but i cannot get the safe to open

If someone attempts to open the locked safe by forcing the safe handle to the open position it can strip the plastic gear. So even if you have the correct safe code and the batteries are fully charged the safe will not open. If you can lay the safe on its side (hinge side on the floor) gravity and banging the side of the safe with a hammer may cause the bolts to unlock. Unfortunately, if this doesn't work you will need a locksmith to open the safe.

Good luck.

Dead battery and safe wont open

battery cover can be removed from outside. replace batteries and try again but if you remove batteries more than 1 or 2 times in a row, safe will revert back to a factory setting. That number should have been on your instruction sheet when bought. Good luck though, I bought a Sentry A3821 and it's only 5 years old and won't open.. After help from sentry I was told solenoid is bad and no longer made. So I now have a piece of junk bolted to my floor
