I have been facing a problem when i try playing some dvds on the Samsung DVD P172. Is there any solution in which i can change the setting making it compatible for all regions

This works to change region code 5.
This is how it works.
1)Power on player.
2)Ensure that there is no DVD inside the player.
3)The tray should be closed.
4)Press "Subtitle" on the remote control.
5)Press 53814 for region 5 (For other regions see any of the other cracks)
6)The region code 5 will be displayed on the left top corner of your screen.
7)Now press 9. A 9 will be displayed on the top left corner of the screen.
8)Press Subtitle on the remote again
9)Power off the player.
10)Power it on again and you are region independent!!

For making the Samsung DVD P172 model region free follow the below steps:
1. Insert the DVD
2. Info will appear "Region not suported"
3. Press Stop
4. Eject and take out the DVD.
5. Close it
6. An info will aprear on the screen "NO DISC"
7. Press 'Subtitle' button on your remote (it's at the lowest right corner of the remote)
8. Type 53814 in the remote
9. Press 'Subtitle' button again
10. Your DVD player will be region free

Is there a way to make the P172 DVD player region code indepenedent. I didn't know it was region specific when I bought it or I'd nevr have bought it
My dvd player will not play certain zones of dvds and if i had known it would do so i too would never have bought a Samsung DVD player!
