LG DLG2532 Gas Dryer will only dry on manual setting

If a second cycle was started---only the amount of time that is needed to dry laundry will be used before dropping to 6 minutes and then the cycle will end with dry laundry.

If fabric softener sheets are used in the dryer--clean the two stainless steel strips of metal on the lint filter housing with a SCOTCHBRITE PAD--scrub back & forth several times to remove the waxy residue from the fabric softener sheets. Most,if not all manufacturers do *not* recommend using sheets in dryers that have a moisture sensor (electrodes).
However--using a SCOTCHBRITE pad keeps the wax off those sensors which can be seen if looking *into* the dryer drum and at the lint filter housing.
If only *liquid* fabric softener is used in the washer--clean the dryer sensors once a month. Liquid softener also contains wax which can slowly accumulate on the dryer sensors from the laundry washed in the washer.

Hold down on the 'More Time' and 'Less Time' buttons and press the 'Power' button. if it comes up with tE1 or tE2 you have a thermistor error.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

The M220 (part #6931EL3003C) is a manual resettable thermo. (Gas models only) (reset by pushing in pin between electrical contacts) If it is tripped out, your vent is in-adequate. There are two themostats located on the back side of the blower housing (ref #'s K550 and K560, part #'s 6323EL2001B and 6931EL3002A respectively) but first, have you tried cleaning off the moisture sensor bars inside the drum, near the lint filter? Try to use timed dry. If that works, your problem is the moisture sensor bars need cleaning, due to build of of fabric softener on them, which makes the dryer think that the clothes are dry, so it will not heat.

How long are the vents? do they go for miles in your house?(sarcasm) Does the dryer have good ventilation? Check the vents again and make sure it is clear.

You may need to adjust the air flow on your dryer vent.

u probably have the dryer pushed too close to the wall and u have kinked the dryer vent or u have a buildup of lint in the dryer vent or the lint trap pull the dryer out and pull the dryer vent off and dry a load with it off and away from the wall if it works the u have a kinked hose or a lint blockage in the hose good luck hope this helps
