Normally DC BUS FAULT is fixed by replacing C14 and C10. C14 is the 100uf/63V and C10 is 2200uf/16V. They are located between the heat dissipator and the logic board near transformer TX1.

What fault would cause this TV to not display?

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Horizontal line through screen and low screen lighting

Hi sir!!!

Actually horizontal lines base on my own experience will cause of bad/faulty T-con board and the low screen light (back-light) cause of bad inverter board or weak cold cathode light when the 2 parts are both indicate faulty (inverter and T-con) the possible problems is on the power supply board..Because its very rare to LCD having 2 or more boards fault..

If that is the case..You need to check the power supply board (it is usually connected directly to the power cord)..Power supply is very hard working parts of all LCD TV so that this board is a commonly problem of all flat panel TV..This board is the one that responsible to supply DC voltage such as 5vdc,12vdc,24vdc to all the boards to function it properly..If the power supply board having voltage drop on there output all parts are not properly works until time comes that the TV will not turn at all..

Try to inspect the power supply first..Look at the power supply board (usually connected next directly to power cord).
Try this numerical steps.
  1. Open the back cover.
  2. Locate the power supply board.(usually connected next directly to power cord).
  3. Inspect the power supply board for any bulged/dome capacitors.
1_17_2012_4_14_43_pm.jpeg
4. If you found any bulged capacitors like the picture above kindly replace it with the same value (example:1000uf/35v means 1000microfarad/35volts)..
5. When you replacing the capacitors make it sure that you memorized the exact position of it because capacitors having polarity.Wrong polarity can cause more damaged. To make it sure please take a picture of it to avoid mistakes..
6. After replacing bad caps if any..Try to power it on again..

Hope it helps..If not please let me know..

Just keep on touch to me to fix your TV..

regards,
chester.

Hi, i have a panasonic tx32lmd70 tv which has the following fault. when powered up green led flashes rapidly, then changes to a slower red flash. any ideas please ?

Hi,

power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
I hope this will help in solving the problem.....

My RCA Model 27R410T Chassis ITC003FAM suddenly has no video or audio when the set is turned on. One can hear it clicking as if was trying but it never actually comes on.

Hi.

What is going on, is that you have capacitors that have failed, so that it is not allowing the screen to energize.

The capacitors act like a booster battery, they hold a large static charge, so that when the screen is turned on, it energizes the screen grid, thus allowing a signal to be presented on to it.

Unfortunately, this is not an easy fix to do by yourself, as it requires several capacitors to be removed and replaced.

I recommend you taking the screen to Fry's, or BestBuy for the repair.

They have specialist trained to do this repair, and they know exactly which ones are the ones that fault out regularly.

It may only be one part that failed, but they will also test all of the remaining ones for you at that time.

BEFORE you get it repaired, get a quote on cost, as you may find it to be cheaper to replace the screen instead of repairing the old one.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day !

Our denon receiver keeps going off-

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?

Not the capacitors, replaced in August.

Hi, sorry to hear you didn't prevail, i have been doing this for over 30 years and some still stump me... But you see, just changing the capacitors well seldom permanently "Fix" anything for very long. You see, those "Blown Capacitors" were a "SYMPTOM" and are a "RESULT" of some other problem, seldom these days for capacitors fault, Unless, they are overheated. To spontaneously fail. The thing that "Kills" Capacitors, is AC Ripple/Voltage, and Over-voltage. So you see you MUST first find why those conditions exist before you can even begin to replace anything Capacitors included. So as ALWAYS the first place we start is at the Power Supply, now you make sure those voltages are correct. and if they aren't find out what not, and what is causing the problem. Then, in that way you can isolate the fault and fix the cause at the same time. That way it is "Fixed" and not symptomatically treated. Also it is nearly impossible to do anything without a service manual, you MUST try to get one of those, they will also help you identify exactly what is wrong and where to look and what to do.

Lcd monitor

This is a common fault on LCD back lit screens. It's called a "bad caps" fault. The capacitors for the light PSU have gone off tolerance and need replacing. If you know how to solder you can do it at home. Make sure to get the exact same type and value capacitors when replacing them.
