Need more info: Model #? Does MW light come on? Does turntable rotate? Can you set the clock? etc. Could be fuse, magnetron, HV transformer, or more.

I can't tell without more exploration what may be the cause, but 1st let's start fresh. Reset the MW by unplugging and replugging the unit. Then set up the clock, etc by following the manual. For reference, go to http://www.emersonradio.com/resources/owner_manuals/manual_1313021007.pdf for instructions. There are many interlock micro-switches that must all work when the door is closed. Take one step at a time, then come back.

That would be a bad door switch or door switch mount.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is often under the bottom edge of the switch.

If your keys do not work at all, you probably have a bad keypad, in which case I'd ask you to reply back. In the meantime:

SETTING THE CLOCK

When the microwave oven is plugged into an outlet,
the oven will display " 0:00 "

1. Press the CLOCK button; the hour digit will blink
and the clock indicator will light.

2. Press the number keys to set current hour.

3. Press the number keys to set current minute.

4. Press AM/PM to choose AM or PM.

5. Press the CLOCK button again; the display will
show the present time. After the clock has been set,
the time will appear with blinking colon, unless
the oven is cooking or defrosting.
