Plug it to a PC with Windows operating system.
Open My computer (or Computer on Vista/7).
Right-click the drive assigned to your device and click Format...
Choose file system of FAT32 and click Start.

Your device should now be formatted with FAT32 file system.

Cheers,
Pelu.

How can I fix 8002F334 error in my ps3

I've seen this error code going around for the older PS3's. From what I can gather, it's a HDD issue that can't be cured easily. Here are the steps to take that I found, that seem to work for all PS3 systems.
  • take out the hard drive
  • connect hard drive to pc (running windows 7 64bit, but any windows os should work without other software)
  • open up disk management - in win7 it asked me to make a master boot record, so I did.
  • format in NTSF - that's right, NTSF - don't use quick format
  • shut down pc, take out hd, take usb drive too
  • put hd back in ps3, put usb stick in ps3
  • boot ps3
  • a screen will pop-up saying the hard disk have to be formatted
  • hold start + Select for 5 sec.
  • After formatting the system will restart and the update will start installing
  • configure your ps3 setup - done
  • Remember to get the latest firmware from SONY onto the USB drive.

My new build gaming pc has 1.5 tb PAL format hard drive,I live in Russia ,my parents live in the U.S.My parents had shipped to me a legal copy of Windows 8 64-bit System Builder, the problem is that Windows...

When installing Windows 8 select Advanced install option, delete your existing partitions then select new. Keep the defaults and hit OK. It should take care of the formatting for you. As long as your key is for the correct version you are installing then there shouldn't be a problem activating.

I want to convert my PC hard drive from RAW to NTSF with out reformatting

You can try this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000
But you will more than likely need to format. There is no other way to load a NTSF partition. There are partition recovery tools that can read it though, if you are sure the partition was there already. You can try something like http://www.minitool-partitionrecovery.com or http://www.partition-tool.com/easeus-partition-manager/ (this one is really excellent!)

What steps will be done in order for me to reformat my computer?

1) All computer has BIOS ( Basic input/output system). Here, you can set up how your PC will run. It is a blue colored full screen with different tabs like general, exit, devices and many more. Go to BIOS by simply hitting del (delete) continuously after restarting your computer.

2) Once in BIOS, look for the booting set up. Listed there are the devices which computer normally boots. ( Harddisk, CD-rom, Floopy Disk and Network)

3) Place the CD-Rom as the first boot and see to it that the bootable CD of Operating system you want is inserted in the CD-Rom. Then Place harddisk as the second booting device. Third and fourth booting devices are not usually important.

4) Save the changes and Exit. This will restart your computer automatically.

5) When your computer restarts wait until you see a message saying.........
Boot to CD........<----if this showed up hit any key to boot to CD. This will make your computer refer to the CD.

6) They will ask you if you want to delete or to create a new partition. For me just delete the partition and do not create anymore partitions. This will only slows your computer down.

7) After Deleting the partitions, they will ask you if you wanted to format you PC. There are 4 choices in there:

a. Quick format (FAT)
b. Format (FAT)
c. Quick format (NTSF)
d. Format (NTSF)

Choose the format either NTSF or FAT. Sometimes quick formatting result to corruption of some files.

8) The computer will copy the contents needed from the CD to your PC and installs it. Windows will appear but i know when you see one you can understand what to do. It will just ask for date and time and user name if you want to.

9) After the installation is complete the computer will automatically restart.

10) Once restarted, set the display in your choice. You can do anything now. Congratulations, you now can reformat

Hi, I am having a HP workstation XW4100 Base unit previously i was using Linux on this machine now want to change the OS has Windows XP with SP2

You need a Windows XP installation disk and the product installation code.
When you boot up with the Windows installation CD, you will be given an option to delete the existing partition, Do this and then create a new partition, then do a NTSF format NOT a quick NTSF format then complete the installation.
After you install SP2 then install SP3, this is the latest service pack and corrects some bugs.

I will like to format my hard drive to add xp

The easiest way is to insert the XP disk in the CD drive and restart the machine and force it to boot from the CD. The installation process should give you the option to format your drive and choose regular formatting or NTSF formatting. I would choose NTSF but that is your choice.

Have a new MSI board, AMD Phenon II and 2TB Hitach iHDD. When initially loading Win XP Pro it keeps rebooting when it reaches driver loads for for FAT and NTSF. Can't get past that point where it says...

You may need to pre-format the disk before installing. NTSF should be OK to 2Tb with XP. Seagate DiskWizard is available as a free download, and can setup the drive as needed.

Repair harddisc have data change from ntsf format to fat

If you in fact formatted your HDD you need to take the drive to a drive recovery center or get the tools to hook the drive up to a working laptop/desktop and use recovery software like Ontrack Recovery Manager.
