99 ram 3500 front brakes sticking, Replaced the front flex lines. Calipers don't seem to be sticking as I can push them back with a C clamp. I drove the truck after I replaced the hoses and it seemed fine. After it was parked for a couple of hours they were stuck again.

First, make sure the pads aren't "frozen" to the caliper carrier. This is important, they must be free to slide. If the pads come out really hard, that may be your problem.
Most calipers have a small stainless steel clip that the pads seat into, and if rust gets behind these clips, it binds. I file them out and apply grease to keep rust out.

Check your brake caliper hardware. The pins that slide back and fourth and associated parts they may be worn out. They sell a brake hardware kit.

1988 Lincoln town car front brake calipers lock up have replaced both calipers. It drives perfect for awhile then they will lock up again.

When you replaced the calipers, did you also replace the caliper frame and slides? Start there. It is common in ford disk brakes to get "stuck" slide pins as they can rust inside the caliper causing the brakes to fail to release the rotor when you let off the pedal. Another cause is the flex line that connects the caliper to the metal lines at the body. As it ages, the inside of the rubber breaks down and collapses effectively becoming a check valve. Pedal force pushes fluid to the brake but separator spring pressure is not enough to make the fluid go back into the master cylinder effectively making the brakes lock up and bind. Try replacing slide pins if haven't already and replace the flex line.

1994 Fleetwood Coronado 33' motorhgome. Front brakes stuck on. Changes the pads, calibers. Test drove, stuck on again. Checked back, roll free / ok. Replaced the master cylinder, re-replaced the b

Sometimes the rubber brake lines that flex and go to the calipers can break down inside and start to deteriate and they can act like a check valve, they will let fluid through one way but not the other way, if you havent replaced them i would suggest trying that

Have a front brake sticking problem have replaced calpers lines and pads and their still sticking in a 1995 buick road master

are you talking about both front brakes sticking.by lines i assume you mean the brake flex hoses.have you checked to make sure that the sliding surfaces are smooth and free of damaged surfaces and the brake pad clips are in the proper places.if so and all this is good that you have done then you could have a master cylinder that is not releasing pressure for the front brakes,or you could have a defective flex hose(if they are not twisted) that is blocking the fluid from releasing the calipers.

2000dodge ram 3500 when bracks applied front pads won't retrieve fully back then over heats the discs

Chances are the calipers are sticking, you can check this by taking a suitable tool and prying the pistons back into the housings [ careful not to damage the surface of the rotor ]. If the calipers are bad you won't be able to and will need to be replaced. Another cause could be the flex hoses, sometimes they will seperate inside and let the fluid flow only one way locking the calipers. You can check this by opening the bleeder screw on the caliper and see if it loosens it's grip rotating the wheel.
Note: the pistons in the calipers should only back-off enough to let the wheel to rotate with a very slight drag.

The rear brakes calipers seem ceased up when trying to push plunger back to replace the brake pads.they don't want to seem to budge with brake clamp pressure.

If the calipers have two,or four notches in the piston of the calipers, then the pistons have to be turned in,one side turns left, and the other right, then they will go back, the auto parts store sells a cheap tool for this, that you use a 3/8 drive ratchet with,if this was helpful, please rate, and thank you

I have a 99 plymouth voyager and the brakes seem to be sticking we have changed the pads and rotors and it is still seem to be sticking and smoking after driving for a short time, what else could it be?...

Assuming all calipers, pins etc have been lubricated and checked properly, I wouldn't rule out the flex hoses at the calipers. They have been known to deteriorate internally and cause flow problems, which would restrict back flow on release of pedal.

I have a pass caliper sticking its on the front I got all new front breaks just installed still same thing what else could it be a dis valve where the line goes from one to the two front wheels??

If your brake job was a professional job, return your vehicle for adjustment. They should have serviced the calipers as a part of the repair. If you told them to NOT service the calipers to save the couple bucks ... well now you will have to pay it.

Please get this repaired before there is a serious problem.

thank you

Replaced both rear metal brake pipes cant get good brake pedal back.i have pressure bled system and now replaced master cylinder still spongy pedal???

there is air there somewhere. try manual bleeding the brakes. do the farthest wheel first. if they are calipers all the way around, when you bleed them tap them gently to remove any air that can still be inside the chambers.
