Lower Rack

• Remove all of the dishes from the lower dishwasher rack.
• Pull the lower rack out of the dishwasher so that it rests on the dishwasher door.
• Lift the lower rack up and out of the dishwasher.
• Place the new lower dishwasher rack on the dishwasher door, then push it into the dishwasher.
• Upper Rack
• Remove all of the dishes from the lower dishwasher rack.
• Extend the upper rack as far as it will go.

Remove the two plastic end caps, located on the end of each dishwasher arm. To remove, insert a flat-head screwdriver between the arm and the tab on the outside of the end cap, then lift the tap to remove the end cap.
Pull the upper dishwasher rack straight of out the arms to remove.

Insert the rollers on the bottom of the new upper dishwasher rack into the rack arms, then push the rack completely into the dishwasher.
. Align the end caps with the ends of the arms, then push the end caps into place.

Upper Rack

• Remove all of the dishes from the lower dishwasher rack.

You just need the wheels. I have bought the upper rack wheels before, now I need the lowers. I have found a site selling them at 10.00 each. I am going to keep looking, I think I can do better, considering I need 4. I might just buy a new washer if I have to spend 40.00 plus shipping! I will post back if I find a better deal.

Hello. If you have a new rack and new wheels the only fix to your problem is to either replace the dishwasher all together or NOT put as many items in the bottom rack. I am always bothered when anyone tells me they were sold a new rack because they are so expensive [usually over one hundred dollars] and generally once the racks start to go, the rest of the dishwasher is not far behind. j.

the clips come with new wheels, they should cost about $4 for four, I would replace all wheels on the lower rack

I had the same problem with my new GE. They installed 2 brand new upper racks.$$ it worked ok for about a month and then I had to force it in again. on the 7th repair call in as many months my repair guy walked in the door stating that he finally knew how to fix the problem. It is caused by poor design in the wheels. they are porous and the detergent breaks them down and they swell. new wheels from an older model fixed the problem. they have RND on the case.

Model number is on a sticker on the left wall of the dishwasher, just behind the door, about mid tub level. Post your full model number and I'll list your part number(s) for you.

I removed the tracks from inside the dishwasher.  Then I was able to carefully remove the endcaps (something I had not been able to do previously) carefully.  The existing broken wheels slid out and I slid two new brackets into each track.   If I attached the tracks to the rack first, I would not be able to clip them into place, so I first replaced the endcaps and then returned the tracks to their positions inside the dishwasher. Reattaching the upper rack is not difficult, but takes two people while I connected the left side, my assistant supported the rack on the right side.  I then connected the right side of the rack.  I slide the rack back and forth to macke sure that is worked smoothly.  We then loaded the dishwasher and washed our dishes as we had in the past.
