Have a S/S GE Profile Artica. We came home tonight to find the freezer not cold enough and the fridge sweating inside. I have done the best i could to clean the condenser unit and the evaporator coil in the back. I have further taken everything out of the freezer and removed the back panel to find the cooling fan frozen and the coils frozen. I defrosted with a hair dryer and replaced the panel. The fan is now running again. The other issue i have been living with for over a week is the ice maker stopped working however, i still have running water. I would appreciate any any assistance you can provide.

The ice maker quit because the tempt in freezer is too warm / like abofe 15 deg./ the sweating is caused by the ice blocking the air flow . . to correct the problem from comming back ( next week ) you will have to replace the heater or defrost thermo . if these are not bad then replace the main control board .. mm hope thes helped ..

I have a freezer on top GE profile arctic fridge. It heated up for 24 hour then went back down and is now hovering at 7 freezer and 42 fridge. What is wrong?

This is a common problem with the GE Artica and Profile. The mother board=> WR55X10942 Main Control Board Compressor start components and condenser or evaporator fans must also be considered in the diagnostics. If you would like to do this yourself let me know and I will be glad to help you go throgh with the testing, Thanks Sea Breeze

My freezer (ge artica) temperature goes up to 40%, then cools dow

The main problem with the Artica/Profile is that they have a main control board and a thermostat board inside the fresh food compartment. I have a repair manual and will send you a copy if you want but we are going to have to look at the control boards for burn marks. Let me know if you need me. Thanks, Sea Breeze

GE PFS22SISBSS Refrig compatment freezing

There is an internal door between the fridge and freezer section that allows the freezer air to enter the fridge side to keep the fridge cold. Sounds like the internal door is stuck open. Steve
